Re: Red's Fans Check in
Janish sure was fighting to get his job back tonight. 3-4. Is that a record for him?:D

How 'bout them Mets? :D

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Huh....trade Gomes and call up Alonso. Looks like we are gonna stick him in the OF for now.
|
Re: Red's Fans Check in
I'm glad to see Gomes go. I am anxious to see what Yonder can do.
|
Re: Red's Fans Check in
Cairo sucks. How many errors can he get in a game :td

How many times can Stubbs strikeout in one game? Half as many times as runners he leaves on. :td |

I think Alonso's being showcased right before the deadline with this call up. Either way, it's good to see Gomes gone.:tu I also chalk up tonight's loss to emotional problems due to the Gomes trade. He was liked by most of the clubhouse and they got little notice to say goodbye. He was actually in written in on today's lineup before the trade announcement. |

Seriously, I blame this one on the emotional baggage that came with the short notice of the Gomes trade. |

8-13 in their last 21 and they are still only 4.5 games back. Its a good thing this division sucks and they are still in it, they would be 15.5 out in the East and 10 out in the West. :td |

Yes, Adam, we are an error prone team this year, but the high number tonight I will chalk up to emotional baggage. Mets didn't outplay us offensively, it was our errors that did us in tonight. It wasn't the usual bases loaded and leave 'em all stranded routine that this team likes to play. |

"I hope that Drew Stubbs is watching Reyes to learn how to be a good leadoff hitter. Stubbs can't do many of the things that Reyes does but he could learn them.....Reyes is a real leadoff hitter that Stubbs is not." :r

Re: Red's Fans Check in
This team just straight up sucks.
|
Re: Red's Fans Check in
My Mets are giving it to the Reds again this evening. And Pelfrey sucks!! :D
|
Re: Red's Fans Check in
That was a nice sliding catch by Yonder :tu

Re: Red's Fans Check in

Pelfrey had as many hits as the Reds LEADOFF hitter tonight, probably because he should be in Louisville not Cincinnati. I did like the Reds broadcast team saying he should watch Reyes if he wants to TRY to be a leadoff hitter because he certainly isn't one right now. :hm |
Re: Red's Fans Check in
Swept for the first time at home since '08. This team is pathetic. How does a team with this kind of talent just flat out suck?
|
Re: Red's Fans Check in
Atleast Votto seems to be in quite the groove right now. Think that's 3 games in a row with a HR. If they are wanting to unload Alonso before the trade deadline they aren't doing a good job of showcasing him before Sunday. I have a hard time believing they just brought him up to ride the pine?!
|
Re: Red's Fans Check in
I'm happy when my Mets beat anyone...let alone sweep someone at their home park. :D

They got very lucky to win the division last year by beating terrible teams and playing the weakest schedule in baseball. Hell they won something like 25 games on the last out of the game. They were over-achievers and got run out of the playoffs. This year is just a continuation of last year with tougher competition. ;) |

Maybe I should have said potential rather than talent. We have all these players with potential, but they just don't live up to it. |

Trivia question for the day. What is Stubbs' average this season on 0-2 counts?

Where do Royals fans go? I mean seriously we suck so bad we don't have our own thread. Being a Kansas City sports fan is tough.

Win 2, lose 4, win 2.
Looks like Jocketty had no interest in making trades this year. Guess we're gonna have to ride it out. No matter how good a player may have been if we had made a trade, it wouldn't make a difference anyway with this team. At least Gomes is gone. |
