Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
Got rid of the safidor before the move, went with a winador this time. Not bad. Like the separate sides, nice to keep different humidity. Not thermoelectric but it isn't plugged in anyways. Basement stays cool. Multicolor led lights from Costco. Shelves are a perfect fit for the wire racks, got lucky there.

Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
Just got it delivered this morning. So freaking excited! Already washed it out, no real plastic smell but doing the baking soda till tomorrow, have a lot of cedar sheets to pop in it as well (ordered the shelves, HM beads, basically everything Chris listed in his thread).
Will post up when it's done! http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/...psce375f77.jpg |

Looking good Adam. I actually want to build a Wineador just for aging some premiums.

Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
Well after days of washing and getting rid of the plastic smell, filling it with cedar sheets and empty boxes, I have moved a couple boxes into the winador. I have 3 of the cheap trays coming monday from cheaphumidors, and I have a set of trays and shelves coming from forrest in a few weeks.
The Oliva boxes have some various sticks in them right now, nothing 'too good', I'm still a bit nervous about moving more sticks in, I have another pound of HMBeads coming (1lb in and some packs for now), I have 2 good Hygrometer also arriving monday. Right now the single hygrometer is showing 69% HM and 65 degrees, so right around the "130 rule", I'm going to watch the humidity like a hawk before I actually put things in it that I like / have money invested in. Oh well it's a start! http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/...psf508ab8d.jpg |
Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
Good move
|
Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
Nice my 2 new hygrometers were in the mail today, sadly the 3 boxes from CHumi are on a fedex truck being driven around san diego until monday when they get delivered =\

Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
Updated pic, the HM is steady at 69%, which will drop a couple points when I put in the rest of the beads, I ordered a couple of the cheap cedar trays from cheaphumidors.com to hold me over until my drawers and shelves are done. Was able to empty my 2nd humi and make room. Whoot!

Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
nice jason, only 6 weeks in and i have a winador, 2 desktop boxes and I'm already thinking what my next piece will be, might be time to move up to the aristocrat or something similar (a mini or smaller model, i can't take away from my CC money:r )
|
Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
yeah i have hit every bump as well. started with the 20 then 100, 2 100's, then a 300 then a 6 bottle, 12 bottle, now this.... and every time i upgrade i say there is no way i will fill that up :lr :lr
|
Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
did you order shelves for it or you going to stick with trays? i have those trays but they waste a lot of space, should get my shelves soon, might be time to mail forrest next week to get an estimate of when i can expect them, it's been 4 weeks.
|
Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
yea i have them on order... when i ordered them last week Forrest said its about a five week turn around for the set-up
|
Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
Aristocrats are awesome adam.
|
Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
Oh I know Colin, but still building my collection too much room right now to justify it, could spend that money on many boxes and thus starts the self fulfilling prophecy! haha

Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
Got my drawers in from Forrest last week, got walnut faces on them and opted for the removable tray. Still getting them seasoned up, can't wait to have everything organized in the drawers and a couple boxes on the shelf on top.

Re: The "Take A Pic Of Your Wineador" Thread
You bastages, refer to the first picture, once seasoned this will be full. I've acquired 40+ sticks at the Great Smoke last weekend, and they are still in the travel cooler they came in. The pics of the empty drawer were to show off the craftsmanship and the removable tray.
