A game put together just the way the Yanks need to have a great season! Good solid innings from the starters, score some runs, and shut them down with the bullpen. How sweet it is!!!

Don't particularly care for the Yankees, but glad to see they beat Detroit today.... I deffinately don't like Detriot (the Misses loves them, my reason for not liking Detroit).
Not hating on the Yankees, there are plenty of other teams I dislike alot more, and a few I like alot more... just on the fence with them i guess.

Actually, ive been a Joba fan from day one, he pitched great, his hair
is much longer and he put on some muscle, that was muscle, yes?

Curtis` strength is decieving, he amazes me, what a game he had.

The Yanks wernt as hungry last year after we beat the filthy fills
in the series.

Derek has nothing to prove to me, but i think he`s lookin for a 6th ring
with Jorge and Mo, 17 yrs. on the same team, all 3 guys.

Good move gettin Soriano, yes?
Day off today, 50`s this wkend.

The offense today gave them enough runs to win but the pitching kept giving up more. They are hitting them over the fence pretty well to start the season.

We knew pitching was in doubt.
Tigers have some sluggers, make a mistake and its gone,
same goes for the Sucky sox.
TV today and Wed. Lucky week for us non Yes and MLB.tv fans.
And next wkend TV at Bos.

Bullturds, i saw the Phillies doing the same thing on TV yesterday,
the radar was reading 912 mph, the league investigated already,
and saw no infractions committed.
You need to read more, but hey with only 2 rings in 120 yrs.
i guess its forgivable. You should worry more about Lackey getting shelled
2 days ago. At least we admit our pitching isnt so good.
Typical Red Sucks fan.

Re: New York Yankees 2011

Yankees started where they left off against the Twins and that is beating them again. 4-3 Yankees win tonight with Nova (1-0) going 6 innings for the win. Bullpen finished it off with Joba (H1), Soriano (H2) & Mo for the save (S3). Yanks got HRs from A-Rod (2) and Posada (3).

x man 04-04-2011 11:03 PM

Re: New York Yankees 2011

I watched it too, thought Novas curve stopped breaking
after 2 or 3 innings, and the Twinkies saw it too, they got to him
for 3 doubles and almost tied it up. What a pen tho huh.:noon

MedicCook 04-04-2011 11:13 PM

Re: New York Yankees 2011

Nova is at the same spot as he was last year when he got called up. He gets to the 5th inning and starts to lose it.

I think if he works harder at making his breaking stuff
work he could last 7 innings. We stranded how many guys
after the 4 early runs.

It is a perfect start for them. Who would have thought the Os would have the best start out of the gate lol.

Too bad about the rain out. Ended up watching the Nats, which was not quite as exciting of a game!

Read the paper u mooks, er Mets.
It was cleared up 3 days ago.
The radar gun was broke and reading 912 mph on the scoreboard.
Same thing happened in Philly 2 days ago at the Mets game.
The league talked to Cashman 3 days ago, perfectly legal.
Not only are u way late, but WRONG. But, hey, you`re a Mooks fan,
er Mets.

Mac, they all use headphones!
His job is to relay the info on the gun to the scoreboard operator.
Although they do light up and make pretty colors, scoreboards do not work by magic. ;)

Yankees Win!!!!! 4-2 on the opening homestand. Now they are on the way to Boston for a 3 game series tomorrow. The Red Sox are going to be hungry after starting the season 0-6.

I dont know, we didnt hit Lackey when he was an angel.
If his usual slop is on he can be tough. Only thing is the early
game interferes with my Masters watching. lol.

The Sox are stuck with ESPN for the next two games. Only good thing is that Joe Morgan is gone from the broadcast team. This will be three games in a row without our home announcers.
