On the advice of my local B&M owner, I tried a "no-band" roubusto (smoking it now). Sumatra wrapper with all Dominican binder and filler. Damn good for $4! :tu Earthy, good feel, no veins, thick smoke too.

i thought it was good. very smooth with some decent flavor to it.

not sure if it was worth the price though. I have another one in my humi. i am going to give it some more time and then try it again.

Just received a box last night from a CigarAuctioneer win. The arrived very wet and spongy.

I'm a sucker for trying everything ROTT, so I left one out overnight hoping it would dry out enough to be smokeable, but wasn't long enough.

Too wet to burn properly. Did OK for the first 1/3, but by the second I was having to draw nearly constantly to keep it lit and by the end of the 2/3 I gave up as I was just getting too much of a tarry/ashy taste from trying to keep it going.

Will give these a couple weeks to settle and try again. What I got from the first 1/3 was pretty good and I'm hoping some rest will bring them out more.

Don Pepin' Garcia Blue Generoso 6 X 50. For a Nicaraguan puro, a a dark oily wrapper, I found this cigar to be somewhat mild except for the first few draws. Nice earthy taste, beautiful even ash burn. Love the size too. :tu Might just pick up a fiver of these.

Am now enjoying a lovely 5 Vegas Gold torpedo. Not particularly strong in either flavor or power, but man does it burn well. A nice end of the day smoke.
