Still waiting on Dontrelle coming back up. He has turned it on of late and I am interested to see what he can do in the Big Show again. :tu

Re: Red's Fans Check in
I'm a bit nervous about him, but at this point, I don't think he can be any worse than Volquez.
Volquez needs to be gone for good this time. Trade him to some team who needs pitching desperately enough to take him. |
Re: Red's Fans Check in
We scored first tonight. I've got a good feeling, despite the top of the order being Stubbs and Renteria.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
That was ugly. I'm embarrassed to be a Reds fan right now.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Cordero sure did blow it.

Heading into the break they have some blaring issues: Still have no leadoff hitter, Stubbs is absolute trash of late, he has scored 3 runs in the last 10 games and two were today. 7 for 39 and 0 RBI's with 11 K's. :td Their rotation has no direction right now, luckily Willis looked really good today, they need to figure out who their 5 are and most importantly the top 3, right now it looks like they have merely 2 pitchers. :sh The bullpen, particularly the back end of it, looks terrible. Blew an 8 run lead the other night in 3 innings and dropped two in the ninth in the last series. :pu |

Also, Votto isn't getting it done the way he's supposed to. He's hitting for average, not hitting like a true 3-hole hitter should. Our 3-hole hitter should not be in love with singles. Where's this guy's power this year? |
Re: Red's Fans Check in
Seems like the Reds are taking a bit of interest in Jimenez. Thoughts? I'm a little shaky on this one. Bad ERA at home, which is expected at Coors, but decent ERA on the road.

All of the Reds All-Stars have successfully had at least one Stubbs in game tonight :td

Re: Red's Fans Check in
So the Brewers added K-Rod, for a set up man no less. When will the Reds actually make a move to improve this team? :hm
|
Re: Red's Fans Check in
Never. I believe they've resigned themselves to "sticking it out" with the "new talent" rather than shaking it up and going after big names. Clearly the Mets are in firesale mode already, and they have some incredible bats on the team... the Reds need to stop sitting on their hands and get someone that can actually help them!

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Arnoldis Chapman, nice line tonight: 3 batters faced, 1 strike thrown, 2 BB, 1 HR, 2 ER and 0 outs. :td
|
Re: Red's Fans Check in
14 pitches, only 4 strikes
Starting to think that he is a waste of $30 million. |

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Won't happen today. This lineup is an absolute joke.:td
Stubbs Renteria Votto Phillips Bruce Rolen Heisey Hanigan Arroyo Why would anyone in their right mind put Renteria in tonight after Cozart has performed so well. And Stubbs at leadoff again. Is Dusty trying to forfeit this game? |

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Renteria actually got the job done most of the game. This team just sucks completely with RISP. How many times have we seen the bases loaded with no outs and no one scores? Absolute joke, and we deserve to lose b/c of this complete and utter bullshyt.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
I'm about fed up with Dusty too. I guess I'm late to this party, but he's messed up a bit too much lately.

Adam, what are your thoughts of Dusty at this point? I was indifferent to him the first two years, then I liked him the second half of last year. This year, I've started to dislike his decisions more and more. I'm not saying Fire Dusty as others are, but something needs to be done to reign this guy in at some point.

Homer Bailey comes up all the time and stinks up the joint. No matter how many walks he issues, The Cuban Loss of Control pitches everytime they have a lead, even with an ERA over 5.00. Bruce, Stubbs, Gomes (at the beginning of the season) and Renteria all seem to have to get their play and AB's no matter how bad they are playing (or how many strikeouts they get). :sh |
