sad news indeed Dustin.... Hey how long would it take you to ask a question in every thread? Pretty soon there will only be one forum populated with any threads.

:r
Well, if one gets banned per post, we need to figure out how many threads and how many volunteers to keep it going.:r

Don't count on me. I have 4 points.:r

Club Stogie is dead, nothing remains, what is over there is a **** board operated by a **** head internet bully who has a Napoleon complex, and as noted earlier, µPS.

I feel bad leaving the 'how long will my clutch last' contest ... that's my sole thought turning my back and never going there again.

But I'm not interested in putting up with that ******* **** ....**** 'em.

This is our new home and a darned good one at that.

negative ... and it's not in the "wayback machine" either. have any of the mods invited Rob here? perhaps he would find this place in the spirit of the CS he helped start. :2

True, but there's nothing left there even vaguely resembling what CS was. It's now nothing more than a dictatorship run by a man (or men) with an iron fist and no tolerance for differing opinions.

Don't hold back, Sean. ;)

Seriously, though, I knew the last nail was hammered into the coffin when I read the new mission statement over there. Though revised since, the very fact that it made it up on the web at all spoke volumes about the direction JC was taking things. I shed a single tear and stopped because I knew I had a new home here in the Asylum.

What really makes me sad, though, is that there are some "old timers" who were around on CS for a VERY long time and it's all gone. That's just sh!tty.

Not true at all Dan.
You can in fact have a differing opinion as long as it is the same differing opinion as his.:r

Glad to hear you say that, Sean.

And, honestly, that's all that matters. I know we're all sad to see CS go. But without it, we wouldn't have the Asylum and we wouldn't have the countless friends we've made over the years. I haven't logged in there since shortly after I resigned as a moderator. That's how I'd prefer to remember it. Going over there now isn't going to add anything to my life except stress, which I don't need any more of. So I say we wish it well, put it behind us, and send the agglomeration on its puffy way.

I really hope my comment about Jon taking the time to read that didn't cause it to be canned. That was a great thread, i'd feel pretty shitty about myself if I was the reason it got pulled :(

As with most things, as one door closes another one opens. I try to look at it as a blessing in disguise.

If anything, everyone can now see how a community based forum should NOT be handled.

If they ever want to ban me for any reason over there, so be it. I wont lose any sleep over it.

I was saying the other day (and many others have said this in some form or another, probably even earlier in this thread) That all Jon took was a domain name and Louie..... the spirit and community of CS is now CA and that can't be taken.

Unless he buys CA :r

The cheese ads would be nice over here.....

Jim,
If there were cheese ads here, and we wanted to express our desire to remove them, would we ask for the mods to cut the cheese?:r

Wow.
The day has come.
I was wondering when CA would exceed the other one on any given day.

Congrats to CA, the mods and all the members making it a new home.

and I've come to terms with it, and removed all things related to the other place from my favorites and web addresses etc.

I'm done for good
