Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co "Hurricane Deck Double IPA..." 22oz bottle...

Good IPA. A little heavy for current temperatures, but hits the spot. More of a late Winter early Spring brew. Not complaining though:D

Anybody ever have Lagunitas Lucky 13 Mondo Large Red Ale?

They had a pallet at my local Costco and bottles were ~$3.50-4.00 and it said seasonal so I grabbed one.

I really enjoy Sam smith's Chocolate Stout. For me, it's the perfect combination of some sweetness (without being too sweet) with stout Flavors (without being too bitter or too strong). Well balanced and goes GREAT with Maduros

Re: What beers are you enjoying II?

Normally I'll drink a variety of beers (though I lean towards IPA's) -- but as of late, it's been ciders and shandys. I think the Stella Artois Cidre and Strongbow are probably the better, more easily available ones out there; shandy-wise, I've been drinking the Leinenkugel's or the Dundee (hometown brewer). The Leinenkugel's is REAL nice, post-lawnmowing.

Love me some Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout. Its one of the very few beers I really enjoy paired with a cigar.

Don't think I've seen this around I will have to keep a look out. Sounds like it would definitely be good with a smoke.

Did you SEE the list of breweries attending? Sure wish Founders would come out.

This will be my third year in a row going to this event. It is crazy good. (Yes, Nancy is the DD)

203 breweries & cideries, that's huge.

Oh, and I just had Gilt Edge by Boring McFakey brewing, er, Ruhstaller. Meh. Great if you like carbonated grapefruit juice, ala Pellegrino Pompelmo soda. Total cascade hops overload.

On to Sudwerk Magic (unfiltered Helles Lager) with the new yeast from . This new yeast really cleaned it up - all the subtle off flavors that were wrong in ****ing Karl's original formula are all cleaned up now.

Hootie, I would love to be able to sit down and have one with you, brother, unfortunately, that's probably the only way it's going to happen, as they don't bottle Magic. It's a keg only beer and is rarely shipped out of the brewery. The regular (filtered) Helles, that's easy, it's bottled.

I don't live in SD. I'm in Sac. But I'll be in SD the Thursday before SoCal, and Southwest Air is kind enough to let me check two 50lb suitcases for free.
