Anchor Porter, really compliments the aftertaste from the cigar I burned while shoveling snow and helps warm the soul.

Tonight is a gin and ginger night. New Amsterdam- in my opinion, one of the finest gins on the market. Reasonably priced, too! I'll take it over Tanqueray or Hendrick's any day.

Being curious I took a shot of the tequila I was advised to get in this thread:
http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=40611

It was Hornitos Reposado. Pretty sure I just found a new replacement to my budget favorite: 1800. Tasty stuff, and pretty smooth. Not near a top shelf anejo, but damn good!

Day after Christmas I poured a Guinnes FES at like 9:30am... But I was up early shoveling, then cooking (simmering the ham bone from the previous night's dinner to turn into a fairly decent ham and bean soup.)

I don't normally drink that early, but it was front/center in the fridge, and it was a day off...

While I find the botanicals (juniper) not too prevalent in New Amsterdam, I find the citrus notes very pleasant and enjoy this gin especially at this price point.

Re: What are you drinking right now?

Just picked up a bottle of Glenlivet 15 Year French Oak Reserve.

Sitting down to sample it, big fan of the 12 year. This is even better, doing a side by side with the remains of my 12 year bottle. The 15 is a lot drier but in a good way, not as sweet, and very woody. I taste a little citrus, but not much. The color between the two is very noticeable as well the 15 being a much deeper golden shade.

I am drinking each straight up (neat) with no ice. I figured that was the best way to compare. Highly recommend to try the 15 year if you like the 12 year Glenlivet.

Taaka vodka screwdriver. Orange juice is the only thing that can cover up the taste of a vodka that was $9.97 for a home wrecker.

Old Pulteney 12. What a great complex single malt scotch, with a nice sea water salty taste. All at a low bargain price. A staple in my whisky collection.
