Look who found some offense. Hell, even Stubbs broke out of his 5 for 38 slump. Nice to play some losing teams every once in a while to hover over .500 :tu

This is the best team they have had in years and they are still squallering in mediocrity. The schedule is eating them alive right now, they can't beat a winning team and don't even look good against mediocre/bad teams. :td

Ironically enough, the homers on FSN-OH said that the Yankees series was a potential World Series preview. That made me literally laugh out loud at my television. Its statements like that that remind me why I don't care for local broadcasts on a regular basis.

Listen to the radio. Marty and Brantley are always pretty cynical and truthful about the team. I prefer listening to those two any day of the week.

I am a visual guy, need the pictures. ;) In the car I will listen on the radio, last time I did, however, Marty kept saying the final score wrong (about 19 times)

tv on, sound off and the radio going. Radio's only about 5 seconds ahead of the tv.:r

I had fun tricking my wife last week predicting pitches that way.

You don't read them normally? Is that why you don't have any sports discussion when questions are posed to you?

Does that mean you get to hear Stubbs strikeout before you see it? I kind of like that concept, except I can usually predict it before I see it, like when he steps to the plate.

Why would you have me on the ignore list? Because I try to invoke sports discussion? Because I make fun of Stubbs?

But I suppose you won't answer, because you won't read it. :sh

Hopefully for the Reds, Reyes is still being shopped. I can't believe how bad Janish and Stubbs are compared to Reyes. Not sure the two of them combined can have the productivity of Reyes. A true leadoff hitter and a very good SS. :hm

At tonights Rays Reds game I think I will smoke an 858 maduro. The dump of a stadium we have has a cigar bar. I plan on getting there at 5:00 to have a pregame smoke.

I posted in Fantasy with no takers. Any of you Reds fans want to put up a five for the troops on the series?????

We avg 18000. I have season tickets, so I am there for most of it. Don't really want to get into it, but I will say I really do love the Trop. I drive 1hr each way, I have to cut through the heart of Tampa and traffic is not the issue people complain about, our economy is horrible 18% unemployment, our governor is taking more money from middle class and public servants are being charged more for benefits and 3% of salary taken away.

All that said, the Rays should move. I will not argue. As a season ticket holder and loyal fan they should move. They deserve better. Give me one place where they can go? Then figure out where the other 8 teams with worse attendance can move to? Times are tough all over.

Go Rays!

Go Rays!

Charlotte, NC. We need a baseball team in NC. I'd get a chance to go to games then. We have an NFL and NBA team in Charlotte, and an NHL team in Raleigh. All we need now is an MLB team.

I'd still be a Rays fan and I wouldn't blame them for leaving.

You haven't been watching for the past few weeks, then. Jonny's been warming up. So have Lewis and Heisey. Gomes has really seemed to revel in the DH spot on this trip.

Dan doesn't watch games, he just posts "Reds Win!". Thats why he still thinks Stubbs is a good player. :tu

Votto has been the one slumping, probably why they have been struggling to win lately. Stubbs is on permanent slump, as always, but he continues to up his MLB leading strikeout total. :td

Votto hasn't been great lately, but the left field platoon has been hot lately. As much as I've wanted to get rid of Gomes and Lewis, they've been pulling their weight. So has Heisey.

And Leake looked good tonight as well.

Tie game on the error to allow Stubbs to get to third :tu

I never understand how a ball that hits the glove of the outfielder can be ruled a hit. Thats how Stubbs has both his 'triples' on the year and a 'homerun'. :sh

As long as he finishes the inning, he can get runs in the bottom half to get the win. :tu

If it's a rocket I can understand. Like the hit that was taken away from Gomes tonight. It hit the glove, but there was NO chance of a play there. (They gave it back to him a few minutes ago). Stubbs was a different story.

Not likely, that ball was in "no mans land". Really the SS going back for that ball has the worst chance of getting it. You always want the player coming in to make the catch. :2

Cueto and Price now both on the ND wagon. ;)

Edit: Bruce hit that pretty far :jd
