Nice. I'm curious about the Pentagram. I have a buddy trying to pick some up for me.

WTF? I guess I never really check, but this is the first I've heard of Pentagram.

Picked up a 4 pack of Surly Abrasive, sixer of Hopslam, and a bottle of Stone Vertical Epic 12-12-12 over the weekend. The Abrasive is already gone. Damn I love that stuff. :dr

Pentagram is a 100% Brett dark beer aged in red wine barrels. Did you ever try Surly Five when that came out? This is essentially the same beer. This is the first year release of Pentagram, and they're going to brew it annually. Only get this if you dig sour beers. If you make it to the cities you shouldn't have a problem finding a couple of bottles.

BTW, Abrasive is my favorite beer :dr

Grain Belt was a MN Brewery (it's now owned by August Schell Brewing Company). Grain Belt Premium is an American Adjunct Lager and is very popular in MN. It's pretty cheap and is better than the macro lagers.

A co-worker of my wife is from MN and gave me a 12er of Grain Belt over the summer. I loved it as a great hanging out on the patio beer. I agree much better than most macros. Just wish i could get it here in NY.

Nice score! It seems every time I want a Surly, I'm on the wrong side of the river. I wish they'd distribute to WI still. I am not far from MN, but I just don't have the foresight to buy beer when I'm in Minny.

Since you're in Wisconsin, do you get a lot of Central Waters stuff? Is there any of their BBBW still around (Bourbon Barrel Barleywine)? I didn't get any this year and would love to find some.

I am still looking for that Cherry ale from Wisconsin if anyone wants to make arrangements to ship some to me.
New Glarus Wisconsin Belgian Red

Please?

Not making it right now Brad. Might still find it around but doubtful.

There was a bad cherry crop so they made one called serendipity.

It's not bad at all and pretty interesting and tasty.

Neither did I. They sell them at Petco park at the Padres games which I had a couple of. The next day at the brewery they had them for sale.

Are you referring to Hercules (DIPA)?
I thought it was very good.

If you can find it - their Wolfgang (Doppelbock Lager) is outstanding.

This is what I brought back from vacation: Angry Orchard Apple Ginger Hard Cider, SMB Black Bear Ale, SMB Tuckaleechee Porter, SMB Windy Gap Wheat, SMB Valas Helles, Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock, O'Fallon Pumpkin Beer, Xingu Black Beer, North Coast Scrimshaw, Hornsby's Amber Draft Hard Cider.

Missing: the SMB Cherokee Red Ale and SMB Appalachian Pale Ale I drunk in Tenn. (along with several on tap pints of various brews).

No, their Denver Pale Ale. I just wasn't a fan of that one. I haven't had the Wolfgang. I'll have to track it down! I've been beer hunting quite a bit lately :xxx

That sounds great Kristin! Definitely post up some pics. I'll be doing a bottle share next weekend with a few local guys. I think we're going with a Barrel aged theme.

It is a bit sweet for most people I've found (after many people talking sh*t on FB lol) but I absolutely LOVE it. The aroma itself is just nuts!

I have, but I knew the manager of the place so there wasn't any issue with it (or charge for that matter). I know most places that are cool with wine are fine with it. Although it helps if you're bringing a bomber that looks like a wine bottle anyway LOL

I am a VERY big fan. And don't worry, I can't finish the entire Bomber in one sitting either LOL. Too much 'diabeetus~! LOL. In all honesty though, only 8 of them are for me. The other 4 I bought to trade as Creme Brulee stout fetches a very high trading price in AZ :tu
