Had a Summit India-style Rye earlier. Now having a Sierra Nevada Bigfoot. I love this stuff. I think I'm going to buy a 6 pack to age 'til next winter. Should be lovely for the Holidays.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Went to a small beer festival yesterday that had over 120 different beers. About 75 percent of them were from micro or craft brewers. Hat's off to Billy's Chilies - you actually smell the pepper, taste the pepper and feel a twinge of heat. Pike's Brewery from Seattle also had some interesting brews - Kilt Lifter and the Extra Stout. Brother Theloneus Dubbel, Psychic and some others. Now I just have to remember where I left my tasting notes...
Oh! I also enjoyed a Cain Maduro while sampling the beer. |
Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Had a Sierra Nevada Kellerweis and also had Hofbrau and Weihenstephaner Hefe-Weissbiers last night . All were good . Gonna get 6ers of the Kellerweis and Weihenstephaner soon . The taste of Spring is here . :ss

Sam Adams Imperial White.
Meh. It was in the fridge taking up space, so it had to be drunk.:D It was.........average. Nothing necessarily wrong with it, just nothing about it made me think I'd buy it again. |

Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest I found tucked away in the back of the fridge. I remember why I hid it away now, wasn't terribly good :(

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Finishing off the bottle of Dogfish Head Fort.
What a disappointment. This is the first DFH beer that I don't really love. It's interesting, but I can't get past the strong solvent taste of alcohol. At 18% abv maybe they went too big with this. Maybe I'll buy another bottle and lay it down for awhile and see if that helps. |

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
I found a 4 pack of Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout today. We won't tell my wife how much it cost. ;-)
But holy cow, I think my life just changed. This may be the most amazing beer I've ever had. If you can find it and aren't put off by the price, buy it. Posted via Mobile Device |

Last night I had Ayinger Oktoberfest. I am definitely brewing up a bunch of Oktoberfest soon and lagering it until fall and throwing an Oktoberfest party the first of October. Drinking some Magic Hat Vinyl, a very good, enjoyable, sessionable Vienna Lager. Also a Hofbrau Maibock we just got in. Good stuff. Sure doesn't seem over 7% abv. |
