Knew this one was coming. Anyone think the Twins can overtake the Tigers?

It's possible. Pavano is going tonight and he just owns Detroit. That would put them only a game back. So anything could happen really.

When is Pavano going to hurt himself?

Figured it would have already happened by now. Guess it only happens when he's collecting a big check :td

Game #163...I'm loving this (since my Mets have been out of the hunt since June).

Re: *2009 MLB Thread*

Because of MNF the game can not be played tonight since the Twins are the home team for the game. Tuesday at 5pm they will play the tie-breaker.

Arod. 2 HR/7RBI/2R in one inning.
Unreal.

Know what else, Scott? When A-Rod came back this year after his surgery, he hit the very first pitch he saw for a HR - yesterday he hit the very last pitch he saw for a grand slam.

After missing the first month of the season, he also went 30/100 for what, his 14th year in a row?
I'm by no means a Yankees fan, or even an Arod fan, but talent is talent.
Bonds always choked in the playoffs, too. :tu

Did anyone watch SNL Saturday? THey had a great A-Rod joke.

"Rumor has it that A-Rod & girlfriend Kate Hudson are pregnant. This will mark the first time that A-Rod has produced in October."

:r

A-Rod also set an AL record for most RBIs in 1 inning and yes he continued his record for 14 straight 30/100 seasons. I personally hate A-Rod but he is still a great player, even without the juice.
