Split a nice bottle of 2015 Turley Petite Syrah with my better half tonight. I really like the Turley reds.

Yes, you would get a different response. Turley's PS is better than their Zin, FWIW.

You'd also get a different response if you said you were enjoying Crane Lake.

Gotta admit I bought this partly cause the label is sofa king cool. But at ~25% off a bottle, at $17, it was worth the investment. It also has a very good rating on the Vivino app. Have to agree, it was delicious with my NY strip steak.

One can never go wrong with a South African or Australian red, however; I am kinda partial to "Porch Climber" of any vintage day.

Those are two countries I hardly ever buy or drink wine from

Went to a "local" restaurant in Puerto Rico that had an awesome wine list with almost no markup. Had a 2014 Shafer Hillside Select Cab for about what we would have paid in a store! So that was cool.

May or may not be developing a "quarantine stockpile" that has been extended to wine now, too. :D

Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, 2012. Bought this at Total Wine on a recent trip to Louisville. Glad I grabbed two bottles.

How'd you like the Catena? I've had a couple bottles of it before and really enjoyed it. My wife...not so much. :) She's more into sweet German dessert wines.

Catena’s what got me started really enjoying wines. First had it while working in Buenos Aires. Such an easy drinking wine, that pairs well with steak. Glad you enjoy it too.
