Mets pieced one together behind Matz's nice game. Problem is, we win one, then lose 7.

deGrom stated yesterday that he "was sick of losing". Sad to say, I don't believe deGrom & Syndergaard are going to around much longer. Just really hope that we get a ton for them. Not typical in previous years, we seem to give talent away for nothing. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Yanks take 2 out of 3 from the BoSox. Happy with the results, but the 3 grames were underwhelming. I would much rather see tightly contested games than 3 blowouts.

Game #1 of "our World Series" was won today by the Mets, 7-5. Syndergaard pitched five strong innings and we jumped all over German. Lugo tried to give it away, but we hung on. Game #2 tomorrow.

Reds are starting the post-All Star break half of the year as badly as the beginning of the season. Phillies lit them up for seven ("Yeah, seven, that's the number") home runs last night, with three players each hitting a pair.

For the second straight night, the PITCHEr provides the only RBI in the game for the Mets. Another loss for deGrom when he pitched a gem. That's like 14 consecutive quality starts and the offense doesn't hit when he pitches. Not enjoying this cellar dwelling. :td :td

Reds looked even suckier than that against the Mets today. Stephenson, just called up from AAA ball, gave up a four pitch walk to the Mets' starter today, while bases were loaded. Reds radio announcer Jeff Brantley said "Folks, I don't think I've ever seen that before."

Mets finally give deGrom some run support today as we beat the Reds, 8-0. deGrom pitched a 10K gem and lowered his league leading ERA to 1.77.

Been a few days...but we've actually been winning. Skull drug the Orioles tonight 16-5. But then again, we lost to them last night. It's been a serious up and down (mostly down) year.

Though I just don’t get into regular season baseball, I’m excited for the playoffs. Was able catch an Astros vs Red Sox game in Minute Maid this year & just picked up Game 2 ALDS tickets for the girls.
