One month of baseball in the books and the Mets are sitting in second place (15-11, .577, 2.0 GB). Couldn't ask for anything better at this point.

Mets decide to wait until the 9th to score some runs and drop one to the Rockies last night, 7-4. Colon got ROCKED...yet again!! Wright continues not to hit. :confused:

The commentators keep saying to be patient and give Wright and Granderson at least another month to produce. Really??!! Colon looked really slow (more than ussual) and not into the game at all. Something didn't look right with him.

Another month??? What the hell did they keep him in extended spring training for this year? Wasn't it supposed to work on his core? It seems to have worked well Murphy. Wright...not so much. Granderson has never hit for a high average. I knew he wasn't gonna hit 40 homers at Citifield. Right field is a lot deeper than at Yankee stadium. But he's still better than what he's hitting right now. :2

I'm not even sure I like or trust Grandersons arm in right field. He doesn't seem to be able to throw very well the last couple games. Especially last night. Oh well, give him another month!

And the Mets I've expected all season have shown their ugly face. Leading the Rockies 6-0, the Mets find a way to lose 11-10. Getting swept in the process. Our starting pitching this entire series has been GARBAGE!!!

All these sub .200 hitters in the lineup need to sit. d'Arnaud may be major league ready with the glove...but his hitting SUCKS!!! It's time to cut the strings with Tejada...his bat is killing us.

Brutal road trip for the Mets!
They didn't even have to face Hernandez and got swept.
They also haven't scored in 23 innings.
Mets always have trouble with the Marlins, even when they're awful.
This Marlin team, though young, isn't half bad.
They're 17-5 at home, which is impressive.

Will David Wright ever hit another homerun?
He hasn't gone yard since opening day.

Mets lay it on the Yankees (AGAIN!!!!) last night, 12-7. We've seemed to have found our offense while in the Bronx. Wheeler gave up a ton of runs, and yet we still won. :tu :tu

Really dismal performances by the Yanks the last 2 games.
They look lost. Rotation is a mess, bullpen is a mess, and the lineup is all banged up.
When you can't hold the Mets to under 10 runs per game, something is definitely wrong.

Don't be too excited about seeing Tanaka, if you're a Met fan.
I fully expect him to bring the :bh 's back to the thread, and restore peace and order to the galaxy.

The kid's (Montero) holding his own. Made a few mistakes and Solarte made him pay for it. 2-0 bad guys in the top of the fifth. I don't see him going any longer, as he's already at 94 pitches.
