Tried one of the cheap bundle stix (augusto reyes factory select maduro) i was hoping would help me fund my son in laws smokes as well

NO GO! So much ammonia. But am told may be "tolerable" after a year or two.

Viaje Holiday Blend. I hate loving a limited cigar, but this was a very enjoyable stick and even in 20 degree weather. I was a popsicle by the time I finished it but no regrets. :tu

TL Johnson Tempio. Intial impressions are very nice. Its a complex cigar with a wide range of flavors. It kept ke ejtertained and burned well. I think with a year of downtime these are going to turn into something special.

Attempting to smoke a 5 Vegas Gold maduro in torpedo. but it's not going very well. The draw is super tight and it's burning horribly. Sucks too because the actual flavors are actually pretty good. I'm gonna give it 10 more minutes to see if things improve at all.

Tatuaje Havana VI Victorias. One of my early favorites but this one was rolled a little too tight and the flavors were way off. Very disappointing.
