The wife and I were driving down the rode talking about buying a new turn table, my daughter who was 5 at the time said I could use her Fisher Price turn table, we smiled at each other and said thank you.

Breaka 19 for a radio check. Anyone remember when we had to sit all the way back to front in the station wagon?

That first pic looks like a part from my grandfathers old meat/fish grinder.

My first toy was a stick :sl

In my first grade class, we had to stand and give our phone number. At the time mine was HU2-0377 or you could say it as Hudson2-0377.

Yep. The days before area codes were required.

Our exchange was Dickens (DI) -- Dickens3 6614.

I haven't had that number in 46 years, but it's right up front in the memory bank. Now if I could only remember what I had for breakfast today. ;)

Awesome! I had both the gun and the bomb! The best was pounding an entire roll of caps with a rock or hammer. That made one heck of a boom!

CigarNut 07-20-2012 12:50 PM

Re: How Old Are You?

The funny thing is that the rolls of paper caps as they were back then would probably not be allowed as toy today... Yet we all survived just fine.

I used to shoot mine in the driveway. It created a nice echo effect, much to the dismay of the poor neighbor across the street.
