You can get something like 10 empty cigar boxes from Thompson Cigar for like 20 bucks. Was thinking about getting those and actually lining the inside of the cooler for pure aesthetic reasons.

Go to the local B&M, ask them for them.. Or they may even sell them for cheap. That is what I ended up doing..

I'm watching some boxes of 5 Vegas AAA. Going to buy two - one for me and one for my son in law for the birth of my first grandbaby - Aubrey Nicole

Already sent him a couple of FFOX for our own private celebration on that day. The 5 Vegas will be our handout cigars

The bad thing is I will probably be in India on a joint training exercise with the Indian Army when she is born so I'll have to carry all these with me

I am curious how you are going to line the cooler. How would you stick the cedar to the walls of the cooler?

I have bought a couple boxes of 30 Diesel Unholy Cocktails on the Freefall when they are about $75. I like 'em as a every day smoke. I think they have a tendency to go south after about 2/3 of the way through, but I can live with that.

I havent had them go sour on me. I usually smoke them down to the nub.

Re: Cigar Bid

I received a CBID shipment today of two boxes of the Torano Noventa robustos. These were some serious coin a few years ago, but they were basically dumping them last week for $49.50 a box (25). The one I am smoking tonight is well made and has quite a bit of heft to it. It is well packed for sure and has a good draw and good amount of smoke. I am having some trouble describing how it tastes - it reminds me of a jacked up Nub Habano. The Noventa is a habano x 2, with a habano wrapper and binder. Despite its Nicaraguan makeup, it doesn't really have that typical Nicaraguan zing (pepper) you would expect. I am guessing that has been aged or fermented out of it for the most part. I wouldn't describe it as being complex, but the base flavor is hearty and is surprisingly creamy for a smoke with this much medium-full body. I could see that it might not have the mass appeal they may have been shooting for, but overall, I am digging it, particularly at the bargain basement price of just under $2 a stick.

Just got my order confirmation......nothing too exciting but 60 cigars for $ 49 with shipping? Tough to beat that for troop support. Our local Guard unit is gonna have a nice little care package.

If for some reason the Diesel doesn't look or taste right to ya.. I can defiantly get it off your hands.. I'd even pay for the shipping, just to help you move it.:D

I wished they used USPS priority when shipping since it takes a full week to get shipments (I'm just complaining because I'm on the West Coast)

I wish they would let me pick up instead of shipping. They won't let you though, I think because they overcharge a small amount on shipping to make up a little on their loses.

Never had a Gregorio II fatboy but got a fiver for $7. Well well worth it. So much so that I bid on another 3 5ver's and won them for $7 a 5ver.

I hope the rest of them are half as good as the first two I had.

Haha glad to hear it. Just wish I had spent a little bit more time on the forums before I ran off to the devil site. Oh well, you live and you learn. Now I take advice from the veterans before I pick up anything :)

Guys I just want to throw this out there. I know a few are new to C Bid and I was guilty of this also when I first started out.....do your home work. I went on last night and was interested in a few things until I saw the bids were within a couple of bucks (literally ) of CIs regular price. With free shipping they would be cheaper off the regular site. Now drunk bidding is a whole different story :bhd :r
