This will be an interesting choice this year. I don't think you can argue if either wins.

Either player is deserving. You could even toss Brady in the mix considering how bad the Patriots defense is.

The voting will be interesting.

Take Drew Brees out of the NO lineup, and they are just another good team. He is far more valuable.

I can see your point in that Rogers has an equal backup. Who is the backup for New Orleans should Brees go down for the count?

Question for the Pack faithful as I did not see the game. Did the Pack play their 1st string defense for most of the game. I see Stafford threw for 520 yards.

If they did, do you think the Pack defense is good enough to win the Lombardi trophy again?

Woodson and Mathews were inactive, so, no, the first string wasn't in there. I can't explain the yardage on both sides today. 30 degrees, light snow and 20-30 MPH winds don't usually lend themselves to this outpouring of passing.

I do think they are capable of winning the SB once again, as long as our offense can outscore the other team's offense. :D

What cigars does Flynn enjoy anyways?

I was not at the game. My son and three buddies were there in a friends seats, and JBailey was using my tickets - he may not be home yet.

I didn't get done with services today till 12:30. Didn't get home from church until about 1:15.

As for Flynn, what a great performance. I think part of the issue was that he was an unknown quantity for the Lions and they didn't know how to play against him.

Peace of the Lord be with you.

Based on that line of thinking, we should retroactively take away Tom Brady's 2007 MVP award and give it to Peyton Manning. :2

Had to look because I knew it'd been awhile, but the NFC North hadn't been swept since 1987. Even when there's a strong team a divisional opponent will rise up and steal one.

From what they said during the broadcast yesterday, it was the first time in NFC North history that the division was swept.

I know for a fact that's not true, because the '85 Bears only lost one game all season, and that was to the Dolphins in that epic MNF game. I backtracked and checked myself, and the Bears did it in 86' and '87, too

Go Pack. Cautiously optimistic this one isn't going to be as close as their first meeting in week 13. No love for the Pack all week from the pundits and I think they come out with something to prove. :2

Should be 20-3, Pack is fortunate that the replay officials blew that early fumble call.

Re: Packer fan thoughts

Another blown call on the ware spot, rewound the game and slow mo shows his butt hitting the blue line as he goes down, refs both run in a half yard shy of the line. Spot was about a yard short and would have been a big first down.

Does your cage of depression have a smoking area? Because that would be awesome. Time to catch up on some good books I think.

Sorry to see the Pack lose. Even though I'm a Vikings fan. The way I figure it if the Vikes can't make it, I'd rather have another team from the NFC North get to, and win, the bowl.

We can't see eye to eye on this, haha. As a Bills fan, the last team I want to see win it is the effing Pats.

But in other news, I feel so bad for Aaron Rodgers, with the exception of 1 or 2 poor throws he played so well, the lack of D and 13 dropped passes lost that game. Not saying the Pack would have one, but had all those passes not been dropped the game would have been so much more exciting...
