But the raw plastic, burl, silver and even gold plated platinum may have identical form.

Yes, but their functions are different. My neighbor Ari is a mohel. I gave Ari my gold one to do his business since he was so enamored with it one evening when he was over.

My silver one is for Thursdays.

My burl one is for ... well ... those special moments when I'm driving my Plymouth K-car wagon with authentic genuine fake wood trim.

OK ... I lied.

My neighbor's name is David.

No thunder to steal, Tom.

This was a team effort. The Team of 11 is truly a team.
Although, I had the dubious task of being on the front line and dealing with this juvenile phucktard via PM. Lots of lies and evasive answers. Not a surprise given how this thread evolved. Other members of the Team of 11 found issues and falsehoods in other forums linking these two together. Eventually, he caved in and admitted he was using both accounts.

Buh-bye and good riddance to both.

Man, wish I followed this thread. Read the original three or four posts when it first showed up and never looked back but seems it grew some legs.:D
Don't own a Palio but have met happy and unhappy owners. I use a Xikar but lately I find myself using the freebie V-Cutter I got last summer. Still cuts great and the last few months or so I have really been digging the V-Cut. Hmmm, maybe Palio will come out with one of those bad @ss carbon fiber V-Cutters.
OK, OK, I can't lie anymore, I absolutely hate cigars. I just use my cutters to clip my toe nails.:r:D Interesting thread nonetheless.

seriously though, I've only cut 40 or 50 cigars, but do cutters get that dirty that they need to be "washed"?

From their site - Your Palio is dishwasher safe too*.

*please note that cleaning to often in the dishwasher may decrease the lifespan of the blades (this also depends on the hardness of the water in your home).

I just used my Palio to cut a cigar in half so I could smoke it at work and not look too unproductive (like now). Perfect, clean cut with no crushing. I could not have done it better with any other cutter I have tried.

OK I LIED! I could have done it better with my laser vision.

Good grief! What learning curve? It's a CUTTER! Also, I don't know how a cutter gets sticky unless one cuts pixie sticks with it. Mine is a workhorse and never lets me down.

They get sticky from re-cutting a cigar that's not drawing well, for one.

Hmmm...yes I can see that happening. Good call. However I hope I don't come across that many tough drawing cigars. Sometimes I just deal with it thinking it may be up in the body and hope to smoke past it.
