I'll be in Valparaiso, IN sometime in the next month or so on business. According to the map it's about a half hour drive to FFF in Munster. Definitely planning to get there at least once. Never had a FFF beer before, but I'm looking forward to it.

Ommegang Hennepin, and Flying Dog Double Pale.

First time with the Double Pale. Man, at 11.5 % it's the one beer to have when you're having ONLY one, :r

Ommegang is within an hour of me, and I don't know how widely they distribute but if you can try their stuff, do. Probably the best Stateside example of Belgian style ales you can find:banger

It's a stout evening in west NC. Now on to an Olde Hickory Imperial Stout. This local stout is the closest to the Brooklyn I have found but with a little more kick.

I love the Lagunitas and they do go great with beef.

Tonight Im having a Mirco from a brewery called Barley Creek in Tannersville, PA. I passed this place goin snowboarding at the Ski place just up the road from them (Camelback) My mom who I was goin with suggested stopping by on the way back and I was very surprised. They have a small brewery in the restaurant with about 5 or 6 different brews. I picked up a growler of their Dark Lager and a growler of their IPA. The Lager was ok, the IPA is pretty standard as well. Both brews are very drinkable and are 5% and 5.5% respectively.

Would I pick these up again? Maybe the IPA I would take the Brown Ale over the Lager

Founders Nemesis. This stuff pack a wallop! Not sure if I like it or not. Definite bourbon finish lingers.

Going to have a glass of John Henry 3 Lick Spiker Ale.
