What brand watch is that? The glare make it hard to see all the detail. Nice of your son to buy such a gift for his dad!

Its a Citizen Eco-Drive Model ATO? It has a tachymeter.

Thanks Chip!!

I am trying that but since i pretty much wear it 24/7 I would've thought it'd been good. Either way I will try that as it's the cheapest fix :) and it says that "under normal conditions, your eco-drive watch will never need a battery" or something to that effect.

I know it's Eco drive but there must be some sort of battery for electric storage (capacitor possibly?) during no light situations.

Watch seems to be ok after letting it sit under a light for 2 nights. Hopefully that does it.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Knip.

A lot of glare on the pic but looks to be a Citizen, nice gift!:tu

I also got a watch from my Son for Christmas, needed something to wear outdoors hunting and fishing, etc. He surprised me with this Luminox 3081 BO which is completely blacked out except for luminous hands and points. Really neat looking. :) Never had a Luminox before but this one looks great and is extremely light for a large watch. Sorry I don't have a real picture but it is so black I am not sure how it would show up.

I used some xmas money for a Seiko Orange Monster. I got it today and it's way off with the timekeeping. It's +8 sec every minute. I waited for 2 weeks for shipment and now it needs to be returned. Arg.

That's an awesome watch, I've been looking at blacked out ones. But haven't committed to anything yet.

Looking good. Check your white balance, could make this picture just that much better.

I need some help. I have a 1928 Bolivia watch, It was my grandfathers. I have not been able to ID which model it is. Does anyone know if a person that I could email a pic to and see if the could ID it!! I have gone to Bolivias website and found a couple that were close but not exact. Any ideas would be appreciated.

If anyone is intrested in the Rolex market please let me know. I bought one in May 2010 and wore it to a funeral. It has been sitting in the safe. I have all the paper work and extra link.

I love the look of the Panerai watches, but they are too big for me.

Same here; too big for my wrist. They are nice looking, but I think they could become cliche like Breitling did in late 90's and early 2000's. Panerai are very stylised and it's up to the consumer to decide if that style will keep them coming back. They do a nice job with detailing the movement.

Agreed! I love their history, but doubt that most folks that buy them know or even care about the watch's history. I think that they are very stylish, but I question whether they will last the trendy popularity.
