Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's the first day and last day back to work after a relaxing Thanksgiving day weekend. Congrats to the Eagles for winning their 4th game in a row and staying tied for 1st place in the NFC East. There was a lot of great football this weekend both college and pros but I'll have to say that the ending of the Alabama vs. Auburn game was out of this world. Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and in a few hours, we are heading down to spend a few days with Jeremy and Christen at the Bethesda Naval Medical Center (Walter Reed). I'm happy to say that the radiation and all the prayers and positive thoughts sent is working. When I called down there yesterday to speak with his wife Christen, Jeremy answered the phone and I was so happy to hear his voice. His hearing is coming back which is definitely a good thing. Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0430 and it's back to work since it's Army vs. Navy football week. Congrats to the Eagles on their 6th win in a row and hopefully continue that streak next week. Beth and I had a great week down with Jeremy and his wife Christen. He is doing remarkably well. He has his hearing back as well as his clear vision and taste. We got to smoke a couple of cigars together and enjoy dinner off of Walter Reed as well. The doctors are very pleased with his reaction to the radiation treatment that will continue for roughly another month. Jeremy and Christen are on the list to attend the Army / Navy game, Beth and I are planning on heading down there as well and meet up with them. But we do miss him now, at least i do.
He was a joy to watch play and hit.
After Miggy, he has the most natural batting skills in baseball.
He wouldve hit 40, and batted 325 last yr if the yanks were healthy.

West Point and big Army is getting ready for this Saturday's big game as there are a number of events planned throughout the week here as well as in Philadelphia and Washington D.C.. Today, the academy has the Goat-Engineer game scheduled as well as the Spirit Bonfire and then the official send off of the team to Philly. This evening, we'll be heading over to Schlesinger's Cigar Bar / Hudson Valley Cigars to enjoy a couple of primo stogies and catching up on the world's news. I have the honor again of escorting a number of Medal of Honor recipients throughout the weekend which I'll enjoy to the max. Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's back to work after a good weekend in Philly. It sucks that Army lost again but we had a great time with family and friends both old and new. We got to spend some time with Jeremy and his wife Christen and a few other Wounded Warriors who were bussed up from Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's Thursday (6 days before Christmas). I was under the weather yesterday, had the chills, bad headache all day and just not feeling good at all. Stayed in bed most of it and hopefully kicked it in the butt. Today being Thursday, we'll be heading over to Hudson Valley Cigars / Schlesinger's Cigar Bar for a pre-holiday cigar or two and wish all my friends a Merry Christmas. Good morning all, the coffee is on and I'm feeling much better. Must have been a 24 hour bug that went through, glad that it's gone now and hopefully never returns. We had a good time last night as always, some some ole friends that were away for a while which is always nice. There's plenty of hockey this weekend as well as the final regular season for the NFL. Hopefully the Eagles beat the Cowboys in Texas this Sunday and advance to the playoff rounds. Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's Monday the 6th of January which means that the holiday season is officially over. We had a great Christmas and New Years and here's hoping that the Spring gets here soon. Heading down to see Jeremy this weekend as his last Radiation treatment is the 8th. I talked with him this past weekend and he said he's doing great and the doctors are very pleased with his recovery. I'll update you guys of his status once I get home, I do know that he'll remain at Walter Reed for a month or two for observation and testing. Good morning all, the Friday morning coffee is on and it's snowing out. We had an unexpected blast of the white stuff so of course we had to do an emergency weather conference call. West Point is "Code Red" until 0900 (9am) so they can clean the roads and parking lots before everyone comes into work. Heading down the highway after lunch to spend the weekend with Jeremy and his wife Christen, it'll be nice to see them and spend some quality time as always. Things are getting back to normal at the Academy, planning all the Cadet activities throughout the Spring and then Graduation for the Firsties (Seniors). Good morning all, the Killer Beans coffee is on and it's Thursday which means that we'll be at Hudson Valley Cigars / Schlesinger's Cigar Bar this evening. Yesterday was a long one starting at 0345 in the morning with an Adverse Weather Conference Call that ended up closing West Point for the day with a Code "Red". We received roughly a foot of snow and then freezing rain and sleet on top of that all day. Hope everyone survived and I know a lot of you lost power (hopefully it's back up or getting fixed soon) and or heat. Hope to see a few of you this evening, be safe out there and enjoy....... :)
