Here's a video about one local greyhound adoption group. The first race picture with the fawn greyhound with the red jacket with the #1 is a picture of my late greyhound, Krypto.

The black greyhound puppy looking at the laptop is on the short list of another grey.

This is Maynard, we got him as a pup in 2002. In 2007 he was diagnosed with Addison's Disease. With medication daily, and a shot every month he lived an almost normal life since the diagnosis. But over the last 6 months or so, the symptoms started catching up and he was getting worse. He was in constant pain and normal activities like walking and going outside were getting difficult for him.

We made the tough decision to have him put to sleep. Today we spent as much time with him as we could, but he had gotten skittish and distant in the last few months. Mindy made him some fried chicken and we hung out in the yard for a while, just sitting in the sun. He loved sunning himself.

We took these pictures just moments before we left for the vet's office this afternoon. We've never had to do this with pet, it was much much more difficult than I imagined.

I miss him a lot already.

So sorry to hear, Eleven. We've lost to beloved dogs over the last couple of years to natural causes. Doesn't make it easier.... We had ours cremated, placed them in our yard and planted trees over their ashes. We now have beautiful trees that remind us of our lost family members, gives us good memories.

My very sincere condolences....B.B.S.

I'm sorry that you had to put your pup down. It's a very hard thing to do evening knowing that it was the right thing to do. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Having dealt with this same thing a week ago, I feel your pain. I'm so sorry for you and your wife, I hope you're always able to hold onto the good memories of Delta.
