Looper - a really fun, original movie (that's refreshing!). It could have been better but definitely worth a trip to the theater.

Last night - True Grit
Tonight - True Grit 2.0

I hadn't watched the original in a very long time and I wanted to see it again before I watched the remake. So many things I didn't like about the remake, it's not worth going into here. In general, I thought when they differed from the original; at best it simply didn't work, and at worst there were many deviations from the original that I really didn't like at all . I was surprised because I like the Coen brothers, but I guess the "Western" is not a good genre for them.
