Ovechkin gets 2 game suspension for knee to knee hit.

Corvo out for up to 12 weeks....Joe, your guys just can't get a break. :(

That was such a bonehead move. If he would have just controlled his frustration, his goalie wouldn't have been carted off the ice. Ballard is wearing the ass-hat in the league right now. He does that to an opposing player and that is at the minimum 1 year suspension (should warrant lifetime ban :2).

MONTREAL - TORONTO TONIGHT

December 4, 1909 the Montreal Canadains, the most storied hockey franchise of all time were founded. Tonight's game kicks off a week long centennial celebration of the the franchise. The NHL obviously scheduled the Habs to take on their biggest rival the Toronto Maple Leafs to mark this special occasion. Tonight's game marks the 699th regular season battle between both of the franchises. In my eyes this game should be celebrated by all fans of this great game, the GREATEST GAME ON EARTH!!!

GO HABS GO!!!!

I doubt anyone will be harder on him than he is probably being on himself. ;)

Wondering what jersey the Habs will wear for this one, they have been celebrating with several retro jerseys. Hope the Leafs wear their third jerseys too, they are the best looking of their 3.

It would be comical if it wasn't so disheartening...

Local word was that Corvo might have been available for trade. Certainly wont happen now... which is OK with me. I am a Corvo fan. Wasn't so much about his play as shaking things up and working on team finances.

I am not a big fan of Paul Maurice, but I don't think even Scotty Bowman could make much of this season for the 'Canes right now. Well... this season ticket holder still loves his team. Staal is back and hoping to get Cam Ward back in the near future. Might see some decent hockey from these boys yet!

Guess I won't have to worry about getting my money together for playoff tickets. :(

True fan you are, Joe. I know your pain, I suffered with the Hawks from '97 until last year.

Big Hawks shootout win tonight....11 rounds! Huet stopped 10 of 11, and Brent Seabrook sealed the deal. :wo

Sharks played a solid game tonight. Took my son tonight. That trainwreck woman who has no concept of how the game is played but has all players first names memorized and calls them by first name only and NEVER SHUTS THE FOCK UP! Yeah she was there. I think we will be moving seats next year. OOOOO and the Leafs beat down the Habs

I saw OT then fell asleep only to wake up to the versus people interviewing Seabrook :( I'm not even a hawks fan and I was screaming at the t.v at some of the chances they were getting in the 3rd and OT. Exciting game.

I finally found my next fav thread! I guess I will use this oppurtunity to give a quick shout out to my boys....the B's. I would also like to say I hate the Habs thanks to my dad teaching me the ways of a B's fan.

Lucky for me a friend works for the Bruins and I got sweet seats. Too bad I my next game isn't until the 30th. :bh

If anyone here goes to any B's games let me know!

Not that it matters much in the scheme of the season, but my 'Canes beat the Penguins last night! (Their first road win of the season... )

Maybe the start of something new. One odd/sad note - our Captain, Rod Brind'Amour was a healthy scratch. Hate to see great players get old. :(
Not sure what the future holds for our captain, but he has been a great player to watch. Nobody works any harder than he has throughout his career.

Brind'Amour is a warrior...hope he has some more good moments in the NHL before he hangs them up, Joe.
