Guaranteed that they did!

Got the email from Jim Martin.........denied! They must have sold out in ten seconds because my order was filled at 6 pm! Will I ***** and moan about how much I hate Viaje and how LE sticks are what's wrong with the cigar industry? Nope! Easy come easy go!

Yep 6:00 and denied. Better luck next time. I would guess they got rid of most during the event. Congrats to those who got some.

If everyone who scored a box of these gave up a fiver to those who didn't......the people who scored boxes would have nothing left to smoke! :sh

I was very sharing with my box...I gave up two 5ers. Figured ten is a good # to enjoy/let rest a bit.

Re: Viaje Zombie

heh, problem could have been solved easily. they could have produced more boxes :D

heck if these cigars were that damn good, wouldnt Viaje want them in their everyday lineup? :2

Re: Viaje Zombie

i guess it is just the `limited edition` or rare appeal that they were looking for.

True, sometimes people get a box and dont want the whole thing, since there was no other way to aquire them.

Also true or at least since they were so limited maybe offer them as 5vers and not whole boxes so at least more people would have a chance at some like Federal did with the 45ths.

Also about the LE thing, I guess the idea is that theyre made with leaf that isnt in a large quantity and there just isnt enough to make a regular line out if hence the limited releases. Or at least thats what they say.

You're right though, there is so much better I could be doing with my life at nearly midnight on a Wednesday. Why would I waste that whole 20 seconds it may have taken me to type that post.

Shame on me.

And it's 15 minutes closer to midnight on Wednesday! Or Thursday, however you would like to see it.

This post only took maybe 12 seconds so that's still less then a minute of my time.

Reminds me I still have a Holiday blend. I think it will die tomorrow. Or when I wake up.

Not really a hater, just not liking the way the current releases are going. I've enjoyed every Viaje I've smoked, I just don't like chasing things that are VERY limited.

Was able to reserve a box with James at Burn, stopped by the event and met Andre. He signed the box as well. Smoked on thurs, suggest eating before you smoke, strong cigar. Good stuff.

Sent Simon's box to him on Friday. Hope they make it quick. You'll have to let everyone know your opinion on them, since you like strong sticks. :)

I bought a box that day @ the event but was just getting over a cold so I ended up going with a white label candela for the evening. Haven't had one yet.

They were. At Tobacco Grove, they would sell up to a box to you, but at Burn, evidently most of them were pre-sold, so you were limited to 1-2 sticks per person. I thought that's what James said, but I could be wrong. As for what's taking so long...:sh:sh

smoked one last weekend. It was nice and strong in body, but lacked some in the flavor dept. I still enjoyed it, and it was not bad, but not up to par with some of the other viaje limiteds IMO.

Score?

What sticks do you like better then it? I prefer the Exclusivo Blend (esp the Tower 45th) and the OR S&B, but that is just me...

~brooks

took the words out of my mouth.

For me the Exclusivo (DES) and the OR skull and bones are the top of the heap for Viaje overall.

I like the holiday blend quite a bit also (call me weird)

If we're talking LE, for me I would put this below those sticks mentioned above, but higher than summerfest which didn't do much for me.

(btw, my cigar was very nicely provided by your website partner Steve :noon)

Dan

I was also told by Joel at TG that they needed about a month of rest time before they were more ready to be smoked, as well.
