It was certainly an eventful one too! 123 pitches, only 66 of them strikes. 6 walks, 2 strikeouts. Came into the game with a 9.13 era. Never would have guessed it. He's never pitched a complete game shutout in the Majors or Minor leagues. It helped that the Twins finally played some stout defense behind him. Hopefully it will help turn the season around for them.

No-No by Verlander. Missed this one. I saw him throw his first a couple years ago. Walked one in the 8th to miss out on a perfect game, and he was throwing in triple-digits in the bottom of the 9th. Just like he was in his first no-no.

Last I heard the Comerica Park (Detroit Tigers) had a Comacho Cigar lounge. I think the Pirates had something similar, but it may have closed with the smoking ban. Cigar bars are exempt in Michigan's smoking ban, and hence the Comacho lounge is exempt.

Located inside of beautiful Comerica Park, the Tiger Club offers luxurious amenities with a spectacular view of the game. Club members and their guests enjoy a private VIP entrance, gourmet cuisine, a full-service bar, and an elegant standard of service. Tiger Club memberships also permit access to the private Camacho Cigar Bar at Comerica Park.

The Tiger Club serves a daily buffet dinner. The menu changes each day and often has specialties of the city whom the Tigers are playing. Prior to Sunday games, the Tiger Club offers a brunch buffet.

Call (313) 471-2582 for dinner reservations.

Enjoy all that the Tiger club has to offer and more when you host your event at Comerica Park!

Austin Jackson is pretty good, and he wasn't the only player included in that deal.

Curtis Granderson is a STUD!!!! And one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He gave my wife a pair of game used batting gloves and signed them when we was in AAA.

Marlins manager Edwin Rodriguez resigns. Injuries decimated his team this year. I believe this man is a good manager.

I'm hoping Ozzie or Greg Walker get the boot. Or both. Hopefully JR can wake up and get some fire under this team.

Tiger's are beginning their meltdown. Unbelievable that they can't win this crappy division. Not a week after they extended Dombrowski and Leyland. I can't complain about Dombrowski, but Leyland should have had to wait to see if he won the division this year. No win, no contract. His resting of 4 starters when playing the 2nd place Indians in a 3 game series is rediculous. Their 4 game lead could turn into a 1 game lead if they don't get their crap together tonight. Having Verlander on the mound should help.

Well he was born and raised in a south suburb of Chicago and went to U of I Chicago. That would explain his good nature:r Wish he would come back home and play for the Sox:D

I was at the game when he hit 500. It was even Jim Thome bobble head night. It was the only game I could make it to in 2007, guess I was lucky to go to that one:tu
