Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Looking forward to this series with the Astros. GO CARDS!
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
St Louis has for some reason struggled with the Astros, last night was no different. Garcia had several pitches that were in the zone but called balls, maybe something to do with the amount of movement he has on them.
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Cards are making a great comeback, Astros have to be kicking themselves for not keeping Berkman. A 3 run blast from the right side after the Astros put a lefty in there to go against him was just awesome!
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Cards win in the 11th (5-3) vs Atlanta. The umpire made a horrible call that probably allowed us the win (very late strike call that was a ball), but both clubs played very well!

The offense has been better than expected. I'm not just talking about Berkman. Rasmus seems to be finally living up to expectations ... hope it lasts. The guy that has surprised me the most at the plate is Theriot at .319. Even light hitting Punto gets a game winning triple. Go figure? Carp pitched a good game after he settled down. Too bad he can't seem to get a win. "Gutsy" move to bring in Miller to get the last out ... the poor guy hadn't retired a batter in five games. Gotta mention my guy Sanchez ... 17 strikeouts and only 2 walks in 10 innings ... held them scorless and got his first major league win. |
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Cards are playing great ball tonight, Garcia is 2 innings away from history!
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Garcia didn't get the "no hitter" but pitched 9 innings and shut out the Brewers. His 2nd shutout of the season, Cards win 6-0!
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Tough luck, but good game!

It's also nice to see how well the Cards batters have done against really good pitchers the last couple of days.

Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
First series we've won against the Cards in a lonnnnggggg time.
Yesterday was a good game, today's not so much. But it was payback for what you guys have done to us over the years.:D Best of luck to the Cards and despite my hatred for him, I wish Larussa the best and hope he's back soon. I truly believe that his absence had a bit to do with us taking this series. |
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Well that was fun.:D
;s Couldn't resist. You guys have beaten us up forever, so it's only fair that we get one sweep in four years.:D |
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
:r, it's all good. Time to bury the hatchet with the cubbies, never been much of a game with them. Looks like you guys are it now:tu
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Cubbies aren't any competition this year, at least not so far.
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Cards win! A good solid game and great defense for once:noon Good to have Tony back and hope to see the Reds win and have some competition later in the season:tf
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
I kept my eye on it tonight. Good game.:tu
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Thanks, Cubs are always fun to play against. I'm beginning to wonder who posts more here, Cards fan(s) or Reds fans:r
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
;)
I post everywhere!:r |
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Cards win! Missed the game last night due to an 0 dark 30 muster but boy is it good to wake up to:banger

Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Cards win! Split 1-1 vs the Royals in the I-70 series. Now the family and me are off to see the Norfolk Tides play the Louisville River Bats at Tides stadium. I'm rooting for the Bats being from my hometown of Louisville, even if the are the farm team for the Reds. GO BATS!
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
What a wild game vs the Royals. Tony seemed to think we had the win and took Garcia out early with only 83 pitches and went to our bullpen who almost cost us the game. Thank goodness that we walked our way to a win by the Royals pitchers. Not looking good though with all the broken hands and injuries we have right now, lets hope the boys can heal up and stay solid!
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Been out of the loop for a couple of weeks and glad to see the boys are doing well, and Pujols is out of his "slump". Great game last night and one hell of a hit by Jake Westbrook who would have thought? Things are shaping up well for a run at the post season IF we can keep our injuries down, it's not helping losing Holliday and last night Craig. Reds need to pump it up and get back on their game, not real fun being in competition with the Brewers!

Otherwise, it's been an amazing year so far. Take a look at the standings ... best record in MLB. Enjoy it while we can. |
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Before the season I would have never thought that we would have the best record in baseball. Then with all off the injuries, particularly Waino, I thought we were doomed.
I've gotta give credit to the young guys. They have been making the best of their opportunities and playing well. Should be a fun run down the stretch if we can get healthy. |

Can't win them all, we were running on fumes last night. Garcia was just not able to locate his pitches anywhere except center plate.
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Good game last night. We won but it was more of the Astros losing. Happ just fell apart in the 6th and we made him pay. It was good to see some of the new talent out there for us but we really need our guys off the DL for the Brewers, should be a great series this weekend!
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Alright, it's Tony's 5,000 game. Love him or hate him that's a lot of experience there, lets hope it pays off against the Brew Crew.. GO CARDS!
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Hard loss last night
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Cards lose, Cards lose:td
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Nothing like the Brewers getting themselves and the Reds back in the picture over one weekend. :hm

Ouch. The Cards need to figure out how to get past the 6th inning with the lead.

Wow, sooo are we trying to see just how fast we can rocket to the bottom?! The Nationals, REALLY?:td

That was brutal last night. It was a good thing hockey came on because I dont think the TV would have survived. It looked like Franklin was throwing BP. They need to get it figured out quick and end this tailspin.
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Let's let the past few games stay in the past. And get a win against the Royals!
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
And the skid continues. The good note, a lot of money was raised to rebuild schools in Joplin.
|
Re: St Louis Cardinals Fans Sound Off!
Reminds me of how they were playing at the beginning of the season.
