Yankees have added relief pitcher Brian Bruney & pinch-hitter Eric Hinski to the World Series roster. They dropped pinch-runner Freddy Guzman and catcher Francisco Cervelli.

Come on. We are talking about the NY Post here. No one even considers them a newspaper. Would not worry about what they say and that would just follows the norm.

One thing about Philly and the news, AND the fans, is they are definitely classy.

Take this broadcast for example.....

Real deal for sure!!!!

Oh, we could go back and forth with classless fans, no doubt. Every city has them. I was referring to the tabloid like newspaper cover. FYI, the Philly Daily News can get pretty bad with their covers too, but the Post one was...well kind of just stupid. :r

Seriously.... I'm hoping for a clean, well played, well umpired and healthy series for both teams. That would be fun to watch.

:ss :ss

26 for the Yankees........shooting for 27.

Hmmm.....
Wonder who has more to choose from.

Phillies?
1980 and 2008.
Not much to choose there.

Thank you for the offer, but aside from my "no gambling" rule, which I rarely violate, I never like to bet on either my Yankees or my Tar Heels: If I win, I've already won and am happy with that; if I lose, I've lost twice.

Besides, despite the fact that I want another WS win, I'm really just happy to be there. Too many of you seem to have forgotten that, when the season started, many baseball pundits predicted the Red Sox and the Rays to battle for the AL East, with the Yankees out in the cold. There were too many questions in their minds, from an ageing Jeter and Andy, and Posada, Mo, Matsui, both ageing and coming off injuries, A-Rod hobbled physically and personally, Cano's sophomore slump, the whole Joba issue,Melky's ability to produce and who would play CF if he didn't, where would their bullpen come from, plus how the new people like C.C., A.J., Swisher, and Tex would adjust to the big stage in NYC - not to mention Wang, who was no factor in the long run.

I want 4 more wins this year, but 110 so far ain't bad.

Found this link.
Talk about bragging rights!!!

The way I see, awful lots of pressure on the Phillies to exceed the Marlins, who came to baseball in the mid 90's and have as many rings.:r

Well, with all the crap I have spilled in this thread, if the Yankees don't back me up, I figure I need a back up plan.

Plan B is set to go, just in case.
If not needed, I can easily cover it back up again and the grass will soon grow back.

Shaky first.
Phillies' clutch hitter did what he gets paid for.
Sebathia used up 1/4 of average pitcher's total pitches.
Interesting start to say the least.
Now our turn at the 1st inning.
