Each level you move up to it gives you either a weapon, an animal or a special skill. Your attributes go up depending on your special skills. Example..I only had a strength of 5...I got the special skill of "herculean strength" and my strength went up to 15. It's all just random

Wow... I was fighting some random dude and was doing quite well. Then all of a sudden, the guy ran over and stole my club out of my hands and beat me with it!! It was awesome! Well... it was bad that I lost... but I'd never seen that before. :)
