A humble request to all who post here. Many times I DVR the matches to watch later in the weekend. Please be discreet when discussing the recent matches. After 24-48 hours, it's all good.

Great idea! I usually am not awake during these matches so DVR it is for me.

I guess I'm weird (I've been tested). i can't watch matches on DVR. For some reason knowing that it's been recorded, I"ll find myself fast forwarding through it. Watching live, I know I can't do that, so I tend to be more engaged. But i will respect those that can and not post results.

I'm all for it, I watch live but can wait to post "banter" on here. But why don't we agree on a time frame where we can start talking about scores on here? 24hours after the match is over?

I'd say 48 hours.

Tomorrow is a perfect example. I won't be able to watch tomorrow morning's match until Sunday evening.

But if the group agrees on 24, I'm o.k. with that. I'll just avoid the thread until I can watch the match.

I'll have to sit on my hands, but I'm ok with radio silence until Monday morning.

I suppose the other option is for all of us to NOT read the thread until our television viewing is complete.

I'm ok with that too. I'm used to purposely not talking to anyone or even turning on my computer until the match is over lol.

He's like a cross between Grizzly Adams and Steven Segal.

Well, no surprises for week one except for Arsenal's loss to Villa. And from what I'm reading, many would clam that result is no surprise either considering how little Wenger has done in the way of summer signings.

The badly depleted Gunners have a Champions League match on Wednesday too. That's probably not going to go well for them. Looks like it's gonna get worse for Arsenal before it gets better.

My boys, on the other hand, are off to a flying start. :noon And City's complete dismantling of Newcastle was bothersome. Just cuz I don't like to see City start so well. :tg

I'm happy with 3 points but just 1-nil at home vs. Stoke is not exactly a strong showing.

Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter

Yea Peter but look at Spurs, same score to Crystal Palace! Chelsea only 2-0 over Hull. Only the ffirst week. But also Reds needs a BIG signing, looks like Willian will not be coming our way.

Does the head coach also have the GM duties with the major (or not so major) soccer clubs? Or is it more like American football, where the coach has to work with what the GM gives him?

Steven Gerard has scored more Goals against AV than any other team. Paul Lambert was very impressive against Arsenal and Chelsea! Saturday will not be easy but his players will be tired!
