She told me that it was a fiber from the twine they use to tie the tobacco hands (bundles) together. She asked for my address, and a few days later I received a very nice sampler from CAO.

Ya, this thread looks exactly like the ribbons they use to tie hands of tobacco together and also the ones they use to string them up in the curing barns.
I've come to terms with cigars being pretty dirty since the tobacco is never washed and it touches lots of hands. I think it is just part of the territory. |
