Re: Woodworking again
Nice work.
Does anyone here have any Japanese woodworking tools? I just got back from a TDY there and I picked up a Gyokucho razor saw. It's a Japanese pull saw and they are a lot cheaper if you buy them in Japan. http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxNj...TrWyo/$_57.JPG These are $45 on Amazon and I picked mine up for $28 with an extra blade. |
Re: Woodworking again
I have a two-sided one like that, Earl. I have one with a had back like yours, too.
The one I use most is a folding one that'd put you in the mind of a felco pruning saw. The blade is a little thicker and stiffer. I just use them for notching and cutting tabbed parts out of sheets. Love em. :tu |
Re: Woodworking again
love those saws. My father in law has one and I will be picking one up at some point in time.

Re: Woodworking again
Thanks. Now that this project is complete I have to choose something else to do from the long honey do list. I think the next thing I build is going to be some sort of holder for all of my wife's essential oil bottles. Those things are all over my house.

Re: Woodworking again
Been working on a new bar for our heritage lounge at work.
Before https://scontent-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...81&oe=55CACB2B After https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.n...304f64d0f54ed3 I still need to poly the bar rails and pour the 2 part epoxy on the top. |
Re: Woodworking again
That looks sweet.
|
Re: Woodworking again
That's awesome! we build up a bar in my garage similar to that but not as nice way back when, it's awesome having one in the house :tu
