Enjoyed an AVO Maduro Robusto rec'vd in the Simple PIF from Travis (Pilon) this morning w/a cup of Nescafe Clasico. Nice draw, lots of smoke, and a solid maduro flavor throughout...

An amazing cigar called Excalibur Legend Crusader (5.5x45). Simply wowed me this afternoon. I rec'vd this fine stick from Doug in the Simple PIF a number of months back and figured its rested way too long at 60RH. I can only describe it as very creamy w/medium nut and cracked pepper flavor during the first half, and the nut/cracked pepper flavor taking more of a background during the second half to a dense cream flavor and lite caramel notes. Medium finish, white and straight ash, medium-full body strength. Gotta try the robusto' now:) Thanks again Doug for the wonderful PIF. It really made my afternoon out here in SoCal...:tu |

Yesterday I had an Original Famous X Label (which has morphed into the Famous 3k). The cello was yellowed and the wrapper had sparkles when held up to the sun. Very good smoke. Thanks WAYNE123.

My buddy bought a very nice cuban crafters end table stockpiled with cigars for 350.00... the opus & padron selection equalled the cost of the entire purchase itself. there were also a few esplendidos in there, about 100 mixed assorted other NC's, as well as 5 boxes of mixed hemmingways, WOAM, and other short stories...
He brougth the end table to the local B&M, took what he wanted out of it and split up the other 100-125 cigars and passed them out to everyone, I jokingly declined as there were no gurkhas and I feel as if i do not currently have the room for 10 randomly given cigars so i let him pass them on to a newer (now regular) member of the people that hang out at the shop..... He did however give me an RP decade that i ended up taking because i never tried one and it was magnificent... thanks Dave! |
