Okay, so I took one for the team here, fellas, and had one of these over the weekend
http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...poonOyster.jpg I'm a fan of extreme brewing, but leave it to some enterprising Masshole brewmaster at Harpoon to decide that oysters would be a good addition to the grain bill :pu However, I have to say that it was a very good stout. Smokey & salty on the finish, but lots of nice roasted coffee and dark chocolate tones. Had a little twang, which might be the "mineral" character mentioned on the label. Surprisingly, this is the second year of production for this small batch brew. Missed it the first time around. |
