Just now checking the other scores and Carolina and Buffalo lost. If the Sharks can take the Rangers it will be a sweep for the Thrashers today. Now the Thrashers just need to win about 10 more games.

I think the boys in teal just may be able to do that.
They better or the Wings will grow that lead and we dont want that.

Interesting numbers on a team Revenue in Winnipeg.

I think that the numbers are inflated in the broadcast and in arena sales but still interesting. From the numbers I have run seems like somewhere likely in the mid 80s to low 90s.

Another positive is they made Milbury look like even more of a tool :r

I saw some non calls on tripping and interfence in the second so I guess it goes both ways.

Now it gets good. Lets go Sharks. :noon

OOO look a non call on holding the stick there.

Hats off to former Red Wing Ville Leino for getting a hat trick. Although the Flyers blew it and ended up losing 5-4 in OT. Red Wings get another much needed win :)

Got the VIP treatment at the Panther's game last night, got to see behind the scenes, go out to the ice, saw a few guys doing warmups outside the locker room, were gifted 2 game pucks, and got our seats upgraded..

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c8...U/0a68b303.jpg

This is where we were when Garrison put it in the net in OT to win, had a great view of the whole play

http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c8...U/fc7b448b.jpg

after the game we got the pucks signed by Vokoun, Weiss, Kulikov, and Booth, really great guys, had almost the whole team sign my wifes jersey

Suite looks really nice. I like that touch screen that gives you the different camera angles and team stats.

Will be at the rink with Micah for a lot of the game. He has a game today from 515 to 615 pacific. Hope its a good one. Good luck. Your gonna need it. :r. So do we crap almost the entire pacific is possibly making the playoffs. Wish we had some tin cans like other divisions to pad our record. :r. poke poke

What do you call the Oilers??? poke poke :r

I will be in the midst of a playoff game of my own, Mike, so I won't see the last 2 periods until I get home on TiVo.

But you are right, the Sharks may very well beat the Blackhawks tonight....it's not like it's the playoffs or anything. ;) :r

lol I thought you were going to post the overtime winner with the Oilers were he breaks the Oilers stick with a slash which they didnt call then scores the winning goal seconds later on the same shift.

Tom the Oilers are a northwest division tin can not pacific. I am missing something. I meant the lower teams, far number in the northwest and central. Pacific seems to have the toughest division right now.

icehog3 03-14-2011 11:56 PM

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread

My bad on the Oilers, Mike....Pacific does seem like the best overall right now, though I think the Central has the best "top two". ;)

Felt bad to see Niemi pulled in Chicago, he is still my goalie hero...but I was happy to see the Hawks get two.

Ahbroody 03-15-2011 01:55 AM

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread

That was a trainwreck. Got off the ice with Micah look at the game feed its 5-2. They score its 5-3. Get to the car its 6-3. Yeah didnt even turn it on when I got home. The boy did.

OOO well the boy had a nice breakaway goal and got one of a rebound while camping the net. Two goal night so dad was happy. :tu.

On VS JR was giving the Sharks and Nemo love saying he still thought they may come out of the west. I do look at the Pac North and think that Vancouvers record is padded a little from the teams there. No comment on the Central cough cough. Good thing I didnt offer up a bet to you. I think I have learned not to bet you. I will just send sticks instead and save the torture. :r

Yes Scott I do blame Cooke. I am sure that rat bastid had a hand in this.

icehog3 03-15-2011 08:56 AM

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread

Well, all the "toughest division" talk in the world won't mean diddily in 4 weeks. Even if 5 teams came out of the Pacific, only one team comes outta the West.

Congratulate Micah on his 2 goal night! :D

Sharks decide to go Blackhawks and beat the Stars 6-3 scoring 4 in the third.

Steve Otts still a b1tch. Jumps Murray which fails, then goes for the leg lift and fails then turtles. You are a huge b1tch is what I imagine Murray was saying.

B's get one last night, winning 3-2 in a shoot out.
They were a little flat at times and the D is not doing their job allowing way to many shots on goal.

Rask, played really well and if it wasn't for him I (they) would have been crying over loss 5 in a row.

6-1 power play in favor of the Blue Jackets.
The B's did not allow a power play goal. They have been on the receiving end of some very questionable calls since the Chara indecent:2
Peverley had a sweet SH goal last night.

I understand why they are mad. Remember Cooke's hit of Savard? Basically this was the boiling point to them. Do I think a criminal investigation is over the top yes.

Hockey is a full contact sport, but some of these hits are just brutal/uncalled for. Look at some of Avery's hits last night....something has to give.

Really? You're going to complain because the Bing trophy winner for the last 3 years in a row got the benefit of the doubt? Composite sticks break all the time. In fact Zetterburg had one break as he test flexed it against the ice before a faceoff. Datsyuk had 13 penalty minutes for the entire season, before tonights game started.

Anyway, watching a pretty good game against the Caps. 2-2 after 2.

Nice, Z just banked one off the goalie's facemask from a tight angle to give the Wings a 3-2 lead with 10 min left in the third.

Heatley serving the first of a two game suspension for throwing an elbow at Otts head.
while I dont like Ott and can imagine why someone might want to take a run at him, you just cant go at someones head. Interesting it was Heatley not usually that type of guy. Now drunk driving or throwing a tantrum I coukd see. :r

I dont how some people survive criticism. Its fun poking you guys at times.

Hey E.J did someone get hurt lastnight?
Thought we lost Boyle last night. His knee got tied up and his legs did a Gumby manuever then he layed on the ice face first pounding the ice. Skated off with a little help then came back out quick. With the blue line banged up it was nice not to lose him again. Sharks were lucky to win last night. Two goals were off wild players. One of a stick and one off a thigh.

Yeah I saw some of the lowlights Tom. I think it was Toews who literally said "we all picked the same night to crap the bed" :r. Epic

AVS WIN....AVS WIN!!! Even though it was SO and against the only team in the league statistically worse than them....I don't care. Would have been nice to hold the lead in regulation(when I was still awake).

On a downer....the Denver Pioneers lost to NDU in double OT in the WCHA Final.
