The top 2 teams in each division are:
ATL 66-48
PHI 64-50

STL 64-49
CIN 64-51

SD 67-46
SF 66-50

Against these teams, the Cardinals are 20-13 (ATL - 4-0, PHI - 4-4, CIN - 10-5, SD - 1-2, SF - 1-2)
and the Reds are 12-20 (ATL - 2-3, PHI - 2-5, STL - 5-10, SD - 1-2, SF - 2-2)

Of course the head-to-head match-up between STL and CIN affects these records a lot. If you don't include those games, the Cardinals are 10-8 and the Reds are 7-12.

Wow, it was just a rough guess of mine that the Cards did crappy against sub .500 teams and ok (but still not good enough for a W.S shot) against above .500 teams. Nice job on the Stats:tu

I just cut and paste from another site. I can't find any newer info than that.

Weird how we can't beat winning teams, but the Cards can't beat losing teams and vice versa.

I know this team's been through a lot and they're tired and all, but Dusty needs to light another fire under their ass right about now. Yeah, we won two out of three against the Bucs, but those wins were just barely. We should be dominating the Bucs like usual, not squeaking it out in one run games.

Not exactly storming towards the end of the season. Looking like a nice 3 and out in the playoffs is becoming even more likely with this tear they are on lately. :td

Wasted another day at GABP. I think they have only won one game I have been to all year. It is depressing to watch them play sometimes. When they are hot, they can be fun to watch, but when they play like last night it just looks foolish. And why does Drew Stubbs suck so bad? :hm

They almost came back and tied it at the end. That was a good catch to end the game. Still, they know we must strike early to win.

In person, that last hit was about the only exciting part of the Reds offense all night. Up until the 9th inning I'm not sure they had a runner on 2nd base. :rolleyes:

Check out his stats for the last few months only when he is hitting leadoff or second and you may be surprised. I don't have those numbers in front of me right now, but I saw last week that at or near the top of the order, Stubbs isn't that bad. It's a shame Dusty keeps putting him back at the bottom.
