I am a stout whore right now, both of these are pretty good.
The FCB had a very slight chocolate flavor, not as much as I had hoped but still very good. The coffee flavor is not there at all in the Java Head IMO but still a good tasting stout.

While it's a porter, not a stout see if you can track down Wolaver's Alta Gracia Coffee Porter...

I think you'll like it

If you can't find it at a distributor out your way, I'd check in Wegman's.

The joint I got it in is a private chain only in NJ

I check Wegmans all the time in Allentown, never seen it there.
I'll keep an eye out for it now.

Cool, although I have to chuckle when I see "The most comprehensive mapping of the breweries of the USA ever compiled" and three of the oldest and largest capacity craft brewery houses in my area aren't even on the map. Sierra Nevada (27 years), Sudwerk (22 years) and Moylan's (18 years). But they got the Budweiser plant in Fairfield on there.:fp.

Centennial is one of my favorites!
I think it doesn't get enough attention... which may be a good thing. More for me!
Check out their Hop Harvest too.

I love the Hop Harvest, this past year it was almost as limited in GA as KBS for some reason. Hopefully with their expansion the availability will increase. Centennial is great and almost always available, its one of those beers that I will grab and ask myself "Why don't you drink this more often?!"

That sounds good. No distro in TX though. I am excited about summer beers though. Most of my favorite beers are of the summer/spring variety. As much as I love my fall/winter brews, they are just usually not sessionable.

Founders Harvest is amazing! Last year I went though a case at least:r Surly Wet Hop Ale is also great for that style.

I haven't tried this years release. I wasn't able to get tickets this year:gary
My friend was passing through Indy on a business trip, stopped at the pub the day after and had some on tap. He said it was good as ever, sweet again but not over the top. I may try to snag a bottle or two. I had a 2010 last week, amazing stuff with 2 years on it, it should last another 5-8 years.

Is that only available at their brewery, or is it available at stores in the STL area? Was it expensive? Easily washed and reusable?

I just saw one of those metal growlers ... here:

http://www.whitebirchbrewing.com/hom...flask-growler/

Looks even sweeter in black, IMO.

I've always loved White Birch's label in general. Have only tried two of their beers. One was pretty good (hop session), one was pretty mediocre (hooksett ale)
