Pretty impressive. I was waiting to see if he could toss a 2nd perfect game in a row. Only 1 player has ever thrown back to back no-hitters.

Cliff Lee may be going to the Phillies.

Wang's Yankee season is over with shoulder surgery.

Bad news about Wang. Seems like there are a number of teams interested in Lee right now, will be interesting to see how the next couple of days play out.

With both Lee & Doc and if the Yankees & Red Sox actually get heavy into the bidding.

Didn't give up any of the "key chips" the Jays were looking for either (Happ, Drabek and Brown) or Taylor.

Not saying they'll go for Doc too, but.... well.... one can dream!

For the type of players the Jays are wanting I am fine with letting someone else other than the Yankees get him.

There is a rumor about the Yankees looking to trade for Jarrod Washburn.

I agree. JP Riccardi (sp?) is writing his ticket out of a job. I'm hearing the Phils called the Jays before finalizing the deal with the Indians, offering the same package along with Happ, and the Jays said no. Moving on...

Re: *2009 MLB Thread*

Now if Amaro will toss Happ, Drabek, and Brown to the Jays for Doc we can go ahead and win back-to-back titles.
