I would not throw Ryne to the wolves, which would be what making him manager next season would be doing. :2

Trust me, I watched enough Yankee baseball over the past 20 years to know Torre is not the guy for you. He needs a fully constructed team of all-stars to win. If he has to make any managerial decisions in a close series (A La 2000 WS against the D-Backs) he will lose. Torre should thank Buck Showalter and Gene Michael for handing him a HoF managerial job.

As for the Cubbies, I'm totally excited, heading out to Wrigley tomorrow for the first time, sitting in the outfield GA.

Now you know that Girardi isn't coming to Chicago anytime soon. Coming off of a WS champion team to the Cubs?:r:r




Question from MLB.com: Does Lou belong in the Hall of Fame?

I think so. He's been in the MLB for almost 50 years, has a good track record as a manager and managed a team to a WS Championship. Maybe not one of the standout people in the HOF, but I definitely think he deserves a shot.

Tom... Wrigley is utterly amazing. The whole experience dwarfs all other stadiums I've been too. Chichago as a whole has been a wonderful experience thus far, typing this in between beers downtown right now.

Yeah lol... We hung out in wrigleyville for a while, freshened up, and headed out for a bite and some more brews
