My Wife bought this for me today. Really appreciated especially since I've gotten my job I've had to put ALL of my paycheck into fixing her Car, the Wedding, etc. Well, we owe less than a couple hundred on the Wedding so she surprised me. I've never had an Easter Basket... Ever, so she made me one with this in it. Definite keeper.

My MetaWatch's battery started to fail - it doesn't make it through the workday any longer :(

I was already set up as a backer for the Pebble E-Watch on kickstarter, so I'm hanging on hope for that.

So instead - today I'm going back about a year and a half in my watch-wearing career. Broke out my Stuhrling skeleton watch. Love this thing.

I was thinking about collecting but never really got into it. The only nice watch I own is a Christopher Ward London C60 Trident which is one heck of a great watch.

I have a Suunto Core All Black. I love this watch. I will tell you that it is not a dive watch. It is only good to 100 feet and the depth meter only goes to 39ft. I have a lot of experience with Suunto dive computers and when I realized that they made watches I had to have one. I will upload a picture shortly.

Very nice watch Justin!!! I love how the glass is almost endless, reminds me of an infinity pool.

Anybody know anything about Red Lines?
They are cheap but seem pretty nice looking.
I just grabbed a "Traction"

I am really loving how Rado has transformed their line. They're making some compelling and sharp watches at attractive pricing. Beautiful watch, that can barely be scratch with a good move and cheap price...

Worth giving them a second thought (or first) if looking to buy a rugged, classy, and unique watch...

They look to offer some decent styles but the pricing is not attractive IMHO.

I also grabbed this one for the wife:

I used to have this exact watch still one of the favorites I've ever owned. It was stolen the face was sandblasted to try and disguise it. Got it back and sent to Seiko who after receiving a copy of the police report replaced the crystal and ring for free and worked for years. Gave it to my son about 5 years ago along with a tissot rock watch.

I suppose that price is relative. Considering Swatch Group’s other premier brands, Rado is a real good deal. Mido is pretty good deal too, but their styling is not as striking.

emopunker2004 07-10-2012 11:29 AM

Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?

Might be a good deal relative to their other brand but some of us just don't/won't have that kind of $ to throw down on a watch

Found a nice looking affordable watch, I would prefer a different band but it looks nice IMO:
Keneth Cole $150.00
http://kcp.imageg.net/graphics/produ...27v383x392.jpg
http://kcp.imageg.net/graphics/produ...02v383x392.jpg

I like the band on this one better at $175.00
http://kcp.imageg.net/graphics/produ...89v383x392.jpg

Another one for $175.00

Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?

Theres an ESQ on overstock dot com for $161.49, I love the look of this watch:
http://ak1.ostkcdn.com/images/produc.../L14203083.jpg

This one is similar but much less at $84.99, is the ESQ a better watch and a better deal at $161.49?
http://ak1.ostkcdn.com/images/produc...1df5a8_600.jpg

I would assume the ESQ would be much better, the Stuhrling stuff looks much cheaper quality and I see low prices all the time.
I think the ESQ might be my next watch, after I save up some funds.

I recently got one of these just for fun...
http://www.amazon.com/Kenneth-Cole-K...pd_sbs_watch_1
I know it's nothing special but it looks decent enough.
Haven't worn it for long enough to know how well it keeps time. Usually wind it up and wear it for one night...

That's kinda the same boat I would be in. Have it, wear it on occasion.
Glad to hear you don't have any complaints about it though.

Nice, thats why I never got into watches even though I want to. It would prevent me from getting the cigars I "NEED".
I think that Shark Diver looks much better with the bracelet just gotta use your right hand more so your left arm doesn't get more muscular from carrying that thing around!

Here is a Seiko (Jap Quartz) I like and it looks like it can be found under $100.
I would prolly change the band if possible, but I really like the watch.

You should be able to get a bracelet with endlinks for that watch.

That is what I was hoping, it is a nice looking cheap watch. I think slowly I will aquire better watches. Hopefully each watch will be nicer than the last.
