Nice to see Nova pitch well. He is looking better every time out.

Walked the lead off in the 7th, then 2 singles, but he looked great till then.

What do you think about the Jorge issue?

Good question, hard for me to say because i am a huge Jorge fan.
I know he loves to play, but he will also be a good coach and manager someday. Catchers know the game.

I have to side with the manager on this one. Jorge is hitting .230 and it's August. Need to have the best team on the field. Now if they send Nova back down Joe needs to have his head examined. :r

Pitching is the key.
A-Rod returns next week.

A-Rod not hitting or fielding, not ready.

As I understand, they've called him up from the minors to give Nunoz and Chavez some extra days off down the stretch run.

They have been doing well without him which is a good thing. Hopefully he can slide back in and add to the team and not cause any clubhouse drama with his divaness.

AJ needs to get rid of the attitude.
He shouldnt need to be coddled.

They are in a no win spot with AJ. He is the worst starter they have, but if they send him to the bullpen it will be even worse on his fragile head, and cutting him is not much of an option with $35M still owed.

I know this, he needs to get over himself and his bank account.
He was known as the Sox killer, they couldnt hit him on a bet when he
was with the Jays.

Bullpen? Shoot, I'd not care if they sent him to Tampa . . . or elsewhere, even if they eat the money. Hell, today I'd trade him for two tickets to Spy Kids 4D and a bag of popcorn.

Right now he is the #6 guy with Colon #5. I think Nova has a good shot at the Rookie of the Year with the way he is pitching.

Nice game for the Yankees offense today. 3 grand slams setting an MLB record. Martin went 5 for 5 with 2 HR's. Jeter is now batting .299 on the season.

PH only lasted 2 innings, gave up lots of hits. We had the
Bases loaded 16 times, DJ came up 4 times
with the bases jammed and only got one ribbie.
But he is still my idol, lol. We still lost 2 of 3 to the A`s pitching,
it was 7 to 1 when the barage started. And the sox kid rookie
called up for Dice K shut out the mighty Rangers 6 to 0 yesterday.
