They are very nice! Mine I used for work (iwb) with a g19. Even with a muffin top I never noticed it was there. My friend also had his built for 226 with a surefire x300 attached. He said that he doesn't notice it either.

Don't forget the added cost of $200 for the ATF tax stamp and waiting 6-9 months for the paperwork to be processed. :sad

Well worth it for an SBR.

They also have a 6.5" barrel with 9.5" muzzle break, MPX-C. This allows you to have the gun and shoot it while you wait on your suppressor sleeve.

Congrats on passing with flying colors! I am interested in pursuing my chl as well as my first handgun purchase. I need to get to the range and try a few out. The M&P is definitely on my list to test fire.

What is yours chambered in? (nvm, I looked at the bigger picture that you attached and see that is is the 9c)

What factors came into play in deciding the caliber?

I'm just gonna fill out my paperwork and throw a 10-11 in barrel on it when the stamp comes back.

Capacity, "stopping power", cost of ammo, what you shoot best.

Just have always carried a 9mm full size and compact, gets the job done.

Thanks for the responses. That jives with what I have read in researching the topic. So long as you can put sufficient lead on target (9mm,.40,.45) all will do the job. And there is no substitute for trigger time.

I just noticed that the M&P Shield has a safety, I guess that is a new feature? Mine is tha M&P 9c no safety, why would you want a safety on a carry gun like that? Not like its a 1911

As long as you shoot it well and puts rounds where they need to be most anything will work, hell .22's are deadly!!

I knew the .45 had a safety, oh well, odd.

The only gun I have with a safety is my AR :r

I love my Kahr's trigger. So much better than the glock or M&P and I love Glocks

I hate guns with safeties. The only safety anyone should ever use and rely on is their finger.
