I can't believe I'm about to say this as a Redskins fan, but I'm glad the Cowboys won yesterday. Hopefully that will help deflate the Giants a little before we get them.

Tough loss, Roy should have held tighter on that ball.

Re: Cowboys Asylum

It is really starting to bug me that ALL DBs try to strip the ball instead of tackling. I seen like three times yesterday where a recivier drags the db for a first down while they were hanging on the ball instead of tackling the runner. just .02 I guess they think giving up a few first down is worth one turn over.

What do I want for Christmas? A good kicker.

jcruse64 12-26-2010 12:10 PM

Re: Cowboys Asylum

I know the kicker messed up, but they had the Cards held on that last drive, then decided to implement the "sieve" defense. That last defensive stand was just as inexcusable as the botched PAT.

And hopefully a new coach. I don't really want Garret to be the head coach next year.

This win cost us a top 5-6 draft pick. These idiots can't do anything right

So what do you think. Sounds like Garrett is going to have full control. We shall see.

I hope he gives JG control over personell decisions. If not we're screwed again.

Rob Ryan as DC is huge. We will have some attitude on defense for a change

Back from the dead. So cowboy fans, what did you think?
Good news- X-rays on safety Danny McCray were negative.

Missed the first pre-season game was driving home from a vacation. From the highlights, looks like they'll do okay this year.

Looking forward to Sunday's game against the Chargers.

Can't wait until the regular season starts!!

Great win tonight. It was a nail biter.

Re: Cowboys Asylum

What about Romo coming back in with cracked ribs AND (as we now know) a punctured lung and engineering the comeback?

I think they could have scored a TD on the last OT drive. I will take the win, though.

Bump.

Good draft for the Cowboys. They may FINALLY have a secondary worth something. Just wondering who's going to be the third receiver.

If (and that's a Texas-sized if) their skill players can stay healthy, it doesn't matter who their third reciever is. Miles/Bryant/Witten/ and one of either Murray/Jones is nothing to sneeze at. That said, I'd imagine it'd be either Raymond Radway or Danny Coale, in that order. :2

You're right. I think what hurt them last year (no pun intended) was the shortened training time due to the strike. They REALLY need Austin to stay healthy.

Maybe, just maybe, Jerry and Garrett realizes they need a good slot receiver, like a Wes Welker. They had one with Amendola. And they'll try at fit Coale more into that spot.

Time to fire up the Cowboys Asylum again.
Lots of good and bad last night, but it felt good to beat the Giants.

Yes, it did.

Too many penalties, but I think most of it was jitters. Once the starting line gets healthy and play a few games together, they'll be awesome!

Secondary is great.
