You posted that comment about one week too early, Dan. Yikes, accidentally came across a replay of last night's debacle while channel surfing the tv this afternoon. Man, I couldn't flip back to that Gunsmoke rerun on TVLand quick enough!

Very disappointing play the last two games in StLouis. People like to blame Dusty, but really, if a team can't get motivated to play well in a series like this.......there really is nothing that needs to be said by the manager, they know they have to TCOB, but they play like it doesn't matter. They're still my team, I've been a lifelong fan since I was 6 years old (that would be 1960...LOL).

Another lackluster performance in Colorado. As much of a fan as I am, I just don't think they're good enough to win the division. Hope I'm wrong and they really get hot at the right time.

Let STL win the division. It will be easier to play the Bucs in a one game playoff. If we keep playing like we have of late, it won't matter anyway.

Going tonight.....cheap seats in the upper deck but free :). Looking forward to seeing Clayton Kershaw in person It will be tough for the Reds to score runs, but if Homer is on, should be a good game. GO REDLEGS!!!

Winning at the right time is definitely giving them a shot at the division. Their momentum certainly didn't help them tonight against the Cubs, of all teams. The Cards have had a bad stretch, as have the Dodgers (who happen to be 11 games up). Hopefully they peak at the right time, and avoid the 1 game playoff. This team seems to be all or nothing, so a 1 gamer doesn't have me overly confident. :2

I hate the 1 game playoff as well. Selig is smoking crack as usual.... "Hey, lets play 162 games, and then decide the playoffs for a team with a coin flip" :td

Stretching the post season into November...someday they'll end up with two northern, non-domed stadiums to play the World Series in, and Mother Nature won't be co-operating.
