Re: Photography Thread Well on my travels I stumbled upon a very reasonably priced Tripod. Slik 212 deluxe. First "real" tripod I've owned. A whole new world of possibilities have opened up with it too. For example I took a 30 second exposure last night NO problem. Yet still sharp. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Photography Thread I love Slik! Im currently using a Slik U-112 that I got at goodwill for $10. Cant beat it! And a picture of some coral from my reef tank. http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/attach...5&d=1269803866 |

Re: Photography Thread That's some good stuff Wolfgang! |

Re: Photography Thread 1 Attachment(s) My 15 year old Granddaughter. I snapped this with my cell phone while she was in makeup for a photo shoot. One of my old freinds invited her to do a shoot for a make-up artists portfolio. She thinks she might like doing this. I can't wait to see the Pro pix! |

Re: Photography Thread Heres what a 30 Sec Exposure looks like with my "new" tripod and a 250mm zoom, which is effectively more because of the image sensor size. I am sure I could get it sharper if I used the remote control. http://lh4.ggpht.com/_sctUupuw_Zk/S6...0/IMG_0895.JPG |

Re: Photography Thread Im currently shooting the D40X with 18-55 no VR and love it but I will soon be upgrading to the D90 because of the screw drive auto focus. my 50mm 1.8 wont AF without it. |

 Re: Photography Thread Quote:
here is a trick too, if you don't have a remote shutter release use the timer. A two second timer will give the camera a chance to stop moving due to your shutter button press and will open after that movement is gone. For the really critically still shots, use the mirror lockup function (to further reduce motion in the camera) combined with a remote shutter release or timer method mentioned above. |

Re: Photography Thread it looks like I am going to be inheriting (kinda) a Sony a100. I look forward to sharing some shots in here :tu |

Re: Photography Thread Just bought a D90 as an easter present to myself. I also put the 10mm 2.8, and 35mm 1.8G on hold. Time to sell some cigars. Im screwed. :x |
