Unfortunately the whole team looks to be in free fall mode. Hope that they wake up before the playoffs start. Just waiting for the calls for coaching changes like last year.

Looking more and more like Wings - Preds in round 1. Should be a great series, Mike.

On that note Sharks fail again. Really looking like the implosion is going to keep them out.

That was great, .7 seconds away from 0 points then they get the win.

Uggggh that trade and the Sharks horrible play may just keep them out this year.
McGinn is red hot. 13-14 points in 11 games

The way they are playing they should put in Turco.

They are sliding right out the Door

The only reason they singed Turco is because Anton Khudobin has been hurt.
Khudobin should be back next week and Marty will be gone.
Not that that is going to help, the wheels are off and I see another ass whopping Saturday afternoon.
This team is done..and it is what you see, or what is going to be left of them.

The East keeps getting tighter and tighter. Pens rip out another huge win with the Flyers staying close on their heels. The Atlantic division has been stacked all year long and the race to the finish just continues to get more and more interesting. Another big game for the Pens on Saturday as they take on the Devils...

Can't wait for playoff hockey!

If the D would play D it would be a lot better, they have more turnovers then Pillsbury.
Chara has more turnovers so far this year then in the past two and has stunk out the house.

Ahbroody 03-16-2012 12:59 PM

Re: NHL '11 - '12 Thread

Watched some of the game and I agree. One of the goals both D and I think the center were standing infront of Thomas. Nobody even tryed to stop the player who came in and shot. They looked like statues.

On a positive note the Sharks found their sack last night against the red hot preds. Scarry with the wings in on sat. Babcock was in the press both last night scouting.

They'll make the playoffs. But if they don't right this ship, it will be a fast track to the driving range.

Glad the Sharks take the series 3-1 and get desperately needed points against the Wings.
Zetterbergs pick on Vlassic right before the Wings second goal was brutal I dont understand why the Wings dont get called for interference on plays like that. Well in the playoffs somewhat.

Havlats return seems to have really helped the Sharks. Hope it keeps up. Now in 8th with a 3 games in hand on the Avs

Chara chased him down but Hartnell wanted no part of that. :sl

Nice to see Hartnell get a face full, anyway.

Hawks win again and are 7-1-1 in their last nine. Only team hotter right now are the Pens.

Question? How do you start a Rangers - Devils game?

Answer:

Quote:

0:03 Ryan Carter: 5 Minute Major for Fighting
0:03 Eric Boulton: 5 Minute Major for Fighting
0:03 Mike Rupp: 5 Minute Major for Fighting
0:03 Cam Janssen: 5 Minute Major for Fighting
0:03 Bryce Salvador: 10 Minute Misconduct
0:03 Brandon Prust: 5 Minute Major for Fighting
0:03 Stu Bickel: 5 Minute Major for Fighting
I can't get the link to transfer....type in " 3/19/12: Rangers, Devils with three fights off opening faceoff " to you tube.

Saw the link, as a FB friend posted it last night. LOL. I've hated Bickel since his antagonist days at Minn. I showed it to my wife, and her response was "F'in Bickel".

Yeah I don't think you need to worry about the Flames anymore. They need to win 4.5-5 of their last 7 games. Not going to happen...

Got a bet with a patient that Blues will go further than Canucks so they are my team now! The winner gets a cigar of their choosing :)

Duncan Keith is scheduled to have his hearing with the NHL today for his elbow to Danielle Sedin's noodle. I am guessing 3-4 games, which may not be a bad thing....little rest and recovery before the playoffs.

The initial phone hearing was changed to an in-person hearing so you can bet it'll be more like 5 - 10 games given the circumstances. Of course it's also very nearly the silly season again and therefore time for the NHL to roll out the Wheel of Randomized Justice (tm) in order to dispense completely irrational and total unpredictable disciplinary actions.

went to the Wild game last night. They played like garbage the first half of the game, and were down 2-0, ad being thoroughly outplayed in all facets. Harding was great and kept them in it. They came back and tied it, and won it in overtime. It was hard to not cheer, because this was our view:

Some friends won an auction to sit in a suite in the pressbox area. It was AWESOME!!!
