Nice work by the bullpen last night :td

Re: Red's Fans Check in
That was a nice performance by Cueto on Monday to destroy the NL Champs last year.

Reds win! Reds win! :banger
We took 2 of 3 from the Phillies AND defeated Halladay. Now, someone tell me we aren't contenders. :banger |

Tough road stretch before the break, but its nice to start with some really, really, crappy teams. :tu

Nice win yesterday! :banger
1.5 games up on STL :banger |

Anyone find the stats on opponents win percentage? I have to think that the Reds have one of the worst opponents winning percentage of any team. Even their interleague games were against bad teams. |

3 out of 4 against the lowly Cubs is a nice way to start a long road trip. :tu

Re: Red's Fans Check in
WTH is up with Votto getting snubbed for the All-Star game?
We definitely have to vote him in :tu |
Re: Red's Fans Check in
Yup, the only Red (Central Division 1st Place team) even on the starting team is Arthur Rhodes... booooo.

Even Griffey got over a million votes this year based on legacy, because that was certainly not based on stats. He is the all-time leading vote getter for the Mid-Summer Classic and certainly didn't have the stats every year to be the starter. :2 |

The kind of SH!T they are doing tonight drives me absolutely crazy!!!!

Good news is, Joey Votto is a fricken G! :tu
Also, good to see Stubbs in the dugout asking a real hitter how to get some hits. |

Just got an email that the Reds are seriously looking at Cliff Lee. Now, THAT would be something!

Arroyo looked great last night. I heard he is trying to talk management into letting him pitch the game right before the all star break. He has always said he would love pitching in a 4 man rotation. |
Re: Red's Fans Check in
I was so pumped to listen to them win and the only reason it was blacked out was because it wasn't a Yankees game...... :-P (meaning NO ONE in New York wants to go to it... or the 103 temp...)

Joey Votto made it :banger

Glad to see Votto make it as well.

You guys caught what the Cards had earlier this week... that is some nasty stuff. :(

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Two games in a row and the luck didn't go their way. I hope this isn't the trend for the second half or we are in a world of hurt. :hm

They have gotten most every last at-bat game to go their way so far this season, they were bound to lose one or two. If the trend swings and they go back to 50-50 they will finish .500 at best. You have to remember they have around 17 or 18 last at-bat wins and 10 straight on the road before the last two. If they lose even 5 of those they are below .500 going into the break. The Reds have been extremely lucky this season and if it continues they have a shot, but if it changes they could fall fast. :tu |
