Anything containing chlorophyll should help. I always like Chlorets. But, some parsley should do the job. Hydrate, brush your teeth, use Crest non alcohol pro rinse, tongue scrapper, then eating something loaded with chlorophyll...like parsley. That really should do the trick.

I have been using it since I posted this thread, and my wife and daughters say they can not smell any smoke. And they all had noses like bloodhounds before, even the day after I smoked a cigar they would complain.

I've picked some up a week ago, and also started using it with positive results. My wife says that my mouth no longer stinks so I think it's a great product. My local Rite Aid has it in stock too, and it's a 2 minute walk away so I'll be well supplied. It is a bit pricey for so less of a product but the quality really is top notch for a mouth wash.

No coffee issues, I drink work coffee and it already taste like ass.

Actually I use it at night after I smoke...in the morning I have been sticking with my Listerine. I did use it once in the morning and noticed that the first couple sips of coffee tasted strange...but I am usually half asleep so I guess its okay.

Hey Kirk - Does it contain alcohol? :al I've got to pick some up but seriously, does it? I've heard you should try to avoid mouthwash with alcohol because it can be harmful (cancer causing?) so I was just curious. I use ACT right now without alcohol but am seriously going to try Smart Mouth.

I have been using for a week.

Wife says zero smoky breath.

It is now a staple in my house, my wife even uses it now as she was always worried about coffee breath

The stuff does as advertized, I also find it helps with my breath in the morning as I am a mouth breather and I am pretty sure my cat shits in my mouth during the night. :pu :ss

The smoke gets into body, beyond the mouth and mouth rinse will not stop that. Every do some cardio after smoking? Cigar smells comes out the skin and lungs.

I am sure this stuff is effective for the mouth, but that's it. Cigars are stinky and that's that long and short of it.

As Moses said, the cigar smell will permeate your entire body, giving you that wonderful aura of cigar smell.

That said, cigar breath is something that I've tried to get rid of, so I'm definitely going to get some Smart Mouth to rid me of that. Thanks for the info on it!

Crap. I thought the alcohol->cancer idea was just hysteria. I'm starting to have doubts: http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/new...-1111118530255

Alcohol is a cheap way of making mouthwash. Sure it kills some germs and baceteria, but at the cost of drying out your mouth. There are plenty of alcohol free mouth washes.

I'm going to have to give this a try as the woman hates the smell of my breath after I smoke. Do they make a body wash or body spray as well? :D

Picked up some from Kmart the other night for 16.00 bucks :gary. I suppose everything is a little more expensive here.

All I can say is that this stuff is legit. Works better than listerine, and leaves your breath smelling neutral. I dont know if its worth the price or not, but my wife seems to think so. I did wake up with a cigar taste in my mouth, but it wasnt nearly as bad.

BTW, thanks for the coupon :)

I picked this up Thursday at my local Target. I got the more expensive of the 2. Smoking today at 5pm at the local store/cigar bar so we'll see how it works!

I have the coupon in my wallet. Went o Wally World for a couple of things, forgot I had it until I was halfway back home.

Justin, how did it work?

FYI: After my afternoon smoke, I picked up a roll of BreathSavers. They have zinc in them (Neutrazin). They did a pretty good job on lessening the cigar taste and odor. Usually, one or both of my twins comment on my cigar breath...today, not a peep.

Re: Cigar Breath - Smart Mouth mouthwash eliminates it

I use lime juice, floss, tongue scrape, brush, then Smart Mouth. NOT A TRACE after that. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the taste of a good cigar, but only for a little while. Nothing worse than knocking someone over after a 5 cigar marathon, and the above ritual is very effective.

Enjoy

I've always been very happy rinsing with hydrogen peroxide, then doing my normal brush, mouth wash routine. However, I've never tried Smart Mouth, so I have nothing to compare it to.

I've been using distilled water and one of these for as long as I can remember:

But I'm heading to Target to see if they have SmartMouth.

I just realized how beneficial something like Smart Mouth would be for CPAP users. Not having that lagging hint of bad cigar breath in the airflow...

How does this compare to Biotene?

Re: Cigar Breath - Smart Mouth mouthwash eliminates it

I picked up a box of smart mouth yesterday. This stuff is really good. I gave the it a go before I went to bed last night. My breath in the morning was totally acceptable. No nasty morning breath at all. My mouth was a little dry (possibly from excessive bourbon drinking), but otherwise nice breath :)

It should do wonders for cigar breath.
